The Incident at Galley House

I came into this game from "type help", which I loved. This is a strictly better version in my opinion, a wonderful puzzle game with lots of unique ideas and a central discovery mechanic that I haven't seen elsewhere, aside from maybe TR-49. If you like puzzles, you'll likely like this; it's a wonderful clockwork watch of a game, with lots of interlinking parts and careful construction.

Phenomenal story, loved every bit of it, great original idea.

Perfectly scratches the mystery itch. I like this one more than The Roottrees Are Dead and the Rise of the Golden Idol. I think the Obra Dinn is still the gold standard for me, and I put it on par with Case of the Golden Idol. I'm big on atmosphere and like historical settings, so if that's your thing then this is a slam-dunk purchase.

Jump back in time to watch scenes play out like Obra Dinn, but you've got a machine that lets you jump to exactly where you want (even down to the exact line of dialogue) without having to watch the same transition over and over. Piece together relationships and motives like Roottrees, but it's a murder mystery instead of genealogical research. Setting reminiscent of one of the best Agatha Christie novels but with spooky stuff and a completely different cast. This one sets a new standard for detective/deduction games that really make you use your brain. I want to especially call out just how good it feels to lock in a code. You think successfully locking in three correct answers feels good in Obra Dinn/Roottrees? Try this. The UI is also excellent. There's a ton of information and they give you all the tools you need to cross-reference it by time/person/location, bookmark important parts of scenes, and take notes.

Incredibly well written and well acted. Easily one of the better 'Obra Dinn'-likes, great pacing and doesn't overstay its welcome.

Très bon jeu d'enquête, remake d'un jeu text only. 5/6h d'enquêtes avec un mystère prenant et bien raconté. Le système d'indice est suffisamment progressif et ne révèle pas trop à la fois. Si vous aimez les jeux d'enquêtes, c'est une recommandation facile :)
