The Hero of Kendrickstone

This is a very well crafted Interactive novel. I'm looking fowrward to a sequel.

Very short, ended when I hadn't expected. But this kinda allows you to actually do multiple replays and see how things turn out differently depending on your decisions. Writing is decent for the genre, story is a fantasy cliché though I had fun playing it, so yeah.

This game has alot of things going for it, but it never really takes off. You create your background, then head for the city of Kendrickstone. Once you get to Kendrickstone you can settle on a career path. You'll go on a few quests, which will get you some really important rewards if you can complete them. Eventually you're tasked with the main quest to save the city. For me the best part of the game was just living in the city and building up your life. A period of time passes, you decide how you're going to spend your time and money. Unfortunately there isn't any interesting side quests you can go on. Two big problems I had: 1-Your choices don't tell you which skills are required. So you'll pick something you think is within your skillset and instead you just fail epically. 2-The story just isn't that interesting. Final verdict: -The replay value is good, but the story just isn't interesting enough. If you want to give this one a shot, put it near the bottom of your list or wait for it to go on sale.

I love these with all my heart. They are simple and a bit short. However the stories ups and downs are your fault alone. :3 This games are always fun.

Everyone in this story really, really wants you to be an adventurer and hero, despite provding evidence to the contrary in spades. Bless the dutiful idiots and their misplaced ambitions

I enjoyed this game, it's short and a choose your own adventure game. Recommended if you enjoyed the choose your own adventure books

The story is very basic. The paths are simple and follow your stats of might magic stealth and speech to put it simply. Aside from being incredibly simple with no plot twist or weighty decisions it also overly masculinizes women, while minor compared to the problem of it being incredibly basic it's a poor choice that takes away rather than adds quality to the story. If you just want something to pass the time with this may be a purchase for you, but if you have limited time and are looking for a good adventure I'd pass on this one.
