Another FMV Banger with excellent acting and gripping storyline. There is gay and trannny stuff in this game every two seconds but if you're fine with that there's plenty of stuff in this game to keep you engaged for little while
As someone who approached "The Gallery" with high hopes, I was initially intrigued by the promise of two different storylines. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit underwhelming, as both versions felt almost identical in terms of narrative. Rather than feeling like two distinct sides, the 2021 release seemed like a near carbon copy of the 1981 version, with only minor changes. This was quite frustrating, especially since I had hoped for a fresh take on the original storyline. The dialogue was almost identical between the two versions, making it hard to get excited about replaying the 2021 version. To be honest, the 1981 version felt superior in every way imaginable, from the acting to the overall atmosphere. The performances in the older version had more emotional depth, making the experience more immersive and engaging. In comparison, the 2021 version felt flat and lacked the same impact. From a gameplay perspective, I’ve always enjoyed games that give you meaningful choices—where the decisions you make actually affect the outcome of the story. "The Gallery" excels in this aspect, especially in the 1981 version. The way the narrative branches and forces you to think strategically about your choices is a feature I really appreciated. It made the game feel more rewarding as I worked towards achieving specific endings. Based on the 1981 version alone, I would absolutely recommend "The Gallery."

If you enjoy fmv games then this one is for you, there are many dialouge choices some that dont seem like much but later on have dire conseuquences, some trophies are somewhat dififuclt to unlock but that's what makes it fun. The acting is pretty good, also side note if you love art this you will enjoy this game as the title states it takes place in a art galley and there are many really well painted portraits in the game. I would say if your new to this type of genre, this could be a good one to start with. I also like there is a skip feature so you don't have to listen to all the scenes all over again.
This game takes a bit to get good. I did not enjoy my first play through (boring story and characters, and perhaps I just don't understand the political climate of England). But the beauty and ingenuity of these types of games is in the replays. The more you do it over, the better it gets. This is a game for completionists; the fun is in the replay and exploring every path and ending while attempting new options each time to hunt down all trophies. I liked it a lot more after playing it for multiple hours then I did at first. I was unable to hunt down every available clip within the game, so there's more to explore although I think I'm done. One of the most fascinating parts of this game was the parallel words in two different time lines. The stories and choices are similar between the 1981 and 2021 version, and you feel a familiarity going between the two games. I love the inverse of the roles. I'm not sure I'll replay this game in the future. If you love this style of game and completing all paths and endings, I think you may enjoy this game. If you only play it once, I think you'll leave very underwhelmed. It's definitely not as good as others in the genre, but if you do indeed enjoy this genre, you will get something out of this game.
No offense to the talents who've worked on this game, but as a whole, it SUCKS. It's a preachy, pretentious, railroading story (two of them, actually) full of leftist truisms. Not to mention how tedious it is to play through the same bits and pieces of dialogue twice. A deeply unpleasant experience.

I can recommend this FMV game. I prefer 1981 because it's more artistically presented overall. 2021 felt very strange after I'd played through 1981 three times, and it just didn't quite have the same feel as 1981, but that shouldn't affect my opinion. I understand the message the game wants to convey. Sorry to say this, but I find the TS scene repulsive and shocking. And the message about what that woman has to do with it.
