About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

Not worth to play. Confusing game style.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This might be the most beautiful game I've played. Such an amazing atmosphere. The controller support works but is utterly artless, no clever use of friction/magnetism/aim assist so controller feel is utterly dead. Play this game m&k or expect a joyless experience. Also Ai is functional but functions unusually. But its astounding appearance alone is enough for me to recommend it. Striking.
Poco claro en los objetivos, mal traducido y mal optimizado. No se entiende nada de lo que hay que hacer o donde ir. Comprar unicamente en rebaja o si te gusta sufrir al pedo
I think this game has the potential to be something great. Currently, I would say it is pretty middle of the road. It is a niche, Co-op PVE extraction shooter with some really cool scenery. I enjoy that in this game you are really not the "main character". You can die very easily and even the most basic of enemies are a serious threat if they get the jump on you. There are some crazy enemies too, like 20 foot tall robots with cannons the size of an airplane or a giant robotic dog that hunts you. Overall, I would say that it is worth it to pick this game up on sale, but I would definitely not recommend paying full price for it in it's current state. The developers still have some serious work to do. I will list some of my issues with the game at the moment. In my opinion, these issues are things that prevent me from calling this a "great" game: • The UI needs some serious work. My first two hours of this game was literally just navigating the UI to figure out what is happening with it. Vendors menu is very difficult to navigate, and includes abbreviations that would not make sense to someone unfamiliar with weapon modification. • Your inventory in game (RIG) is borderline unusable. The inventory itself is extremely small, and the icons are even smaller. I like the idea of the different inventory "nodes", but the user experience is terrible as is. • The performance is pretty bad. I am running this game on a 3070 graphics card and intel 13900k. I have to run at the absolute lowest settings to even hit 60fps on bigger maps. I have a feeling that each enemy is probably running their own instance of complex code since they have an "alert" mode. It also seems like every enemy on the map is rendered simultaneously to simulate a large scale battle. • The first-person ADS for most weapons does not function correctly. Either: The characters hands are clipping into the gun, the sights are misaligned with bullet trajectory, or the sights themselves are misaligned (USP). I enjoy that the game is in third person, I would say just commit to third person aiming and shooting (similar to ARC Raiders) or do some serious work on the first person perspective. • Make an option to "toggle lean" and make the lean more pronounced so that you can actually shoot from cover. The lean is so useless that most of the time I just walk out from cover to shoot something. • The weapon modification system is very unintuitive and frustrating. I frequently have to check the wiki to see which specific muzzle attachment works on the weapon I am using. Not only this, but having to go to the vendor tab, then back to my gun, then back to the vendor tab is annoying. My recommendation would be the following: - In the weapon customization menu, for example when clicking on an option like "muzzle device", display EVERY muzzle device that can attach to the weapon in the menu (including ones that are level locked). - If you do not possess a muzzle device, and can not purchase it for whatever reason, put a "locked" symbol over it. When the player hovers over this symbol, have a menu pop-up that explains why it is locked, like: "requires level 2 weapon skill", "requires loyalty III". - Show the price of each attachment under its icon and make it an option to simply "buy and attach" the attachment. This way the player doesn't have to go BACK to the vendor tab to buy an attachment, they can just buy it straight from the customization menu and attach it. • Enemy path-finding and behavior is quite goofy. It is not uncommon to see an NPC A-posing, or stuck outside the map. Enemies are functional enough that it's not a serious problem, but some of their behavior is pretty immersion-breaking. To summarize: Make some serious adjustments to the UI and inventory, fix performance issues, fix weapon ADS / gunplay / movement, make serious adjustments to vendor menus and weapon customization menus, fix enemy pathfinding / glitches / adjust behavior.

Great concept, great trailers. Meh gameplay, meh performance. And that 2 years after release date...
I tried, and I can't play it on my trashy little laptop, but I've been following this forever and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love what you're trying to do. This will be the first game I buy when I get a real PC.
i wouldnt recommend this game. it has alot of bugs and performance issues some maps are for me 30fps and mind you i have everything on the lowest settings. enemies glitch trough the ground and disapear. wrong animations. sometimes there are no animations at all. the performance and bugs are the most important for me in this game. instead of adding new content they need to rebuild the game for better performance or make a performance update somehow. how is it possible that game devs dont notice major bugs?
