About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

Unfortunately this game is all vibes and no substance. So many core mechanics are borderline broken, everything feels like a tech demo. The devs don't really seem to have a very clear vision on what this game should be, seems like they just wanted to make this world (which is very cool don't get me wrong), and the game is just an excuse to have you exploring it. The AI is beyond braindead, paths like a toddler struggling to walk, and the interaction between enemy factions' units is so janky that it really breaks the immersion by how goofy it ends up looking. Add to that some seriously stiff gunplay and movement, and loot that despawns if you walk out of render distance, this game just feels like a chore to play. All that's not even mentioning them selling multiple cosmetic packs while the core game is in this state... I gave it multiple chances because I just love the atmosphere of the world, but the gameplay is way too frustrating to recommend. There are far better looter shooters worth your time at the moment.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

遊戲是好遊戲 但系統介面字幕也太小了吧 還是新細明體 看的要脫窗了......
The game is unfortunately currently basically unplayable. Very intriguing world and lore, beautiful art and vistas, but don't expect to get any joy from the gameplay.
how has this game been out this long and still cant find an option to toggle aim ???? is it not just simple code ? this was a huge issue in grey zone when they first launched but with title being out as long as it has in EA just baffles me how there is still no option for aiming toggle on keyboard and mouse, game seems to run a lot better now though than when first launched. ill update my review once toggle aim and other important features you would think a title such as this would have native gets added.
Please, please, Fundog, engage with the Discord and your community. The game is in an abysmal state, and we hear nothing from any of the devs. Open up multiplayer playtesting, players are coming in droves talking about how fundamentally broken the co-op experience is. From personal experience, the tutorial quests will often not track in co-op, and require roundabout fixes to get working. This is unacceptable. You have a dedicated community and continue to squander it.
Really wanted to like this but the random movement glitches during combat have become unignorable; should've listened to others on this before sinking 74 hours into this farce that I'm not getting back...
From the beginning this game had a lot going for it, but honestly fun dog is too ambitious with little in the way of proof they can do so a little over 2 years and this game is still garbage that's just sad, enemy patrols still broken but now they pat themselves on the back because they move to your last known location ok sure that works in theory but enemy radar can detect you through walls, its just lazy design at this point stability is worse than ever and no its not a skill issue that would imply this game was ever fun as a concept outside of on paper how are you even supposed to get better when pretty much nothing works as intended don't buy I did on the premise that they would keep improving but that was tactical error on my part early access has just become steams digital waste dumping ground at this point
fix the damn game bro
A lot of update with no meaningful changes to improve the core gameplay.
The game is not worth the money. I bought this when it first came out in early access but, wasn't impressed. I came back this week as I heard many changes were made supposedly, improving the player's experience. Unfortunately, the game still has many problems: - Buggy Ai enemies are, to say the least, erratic in how they behave and not in a good way. - Only headshots are effective against enemies unless you're a fan of mag-dumping very expensive ammunition. - Constant cat-and-mouse time-wasting nonsense evading groups and unkillable enemies. - When killed, it's the usual corpse run back to your tombstone to pick up - only your weapons and rig parts - everything else is lost. For whatever reason, the dev's decided that, you can't just pick up your weapons were you fell and start using them. Instead, you have to exit the zone and return to your base before you can use them again. The irritating part of this is when you're killed near the beginning of a run and on returning, you get a helpful message saying that, scavs have moved all your gear to the exit and you're forced to travel all the way across the zone with back up gear hoping you don't get killed and loose your corpse-run gear as well. Not fun. The game has merit but, the devs don't understand the difference between making a game challenging and fun vs. making a game challenging and beating their players over the head with it. Then, they can't figure out why no one plays their game...
