About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

I love this game. It's a bit of a buggy mess at time and sure it's really annoying how I occasionally lose some really good loot due to random disconnects. And how sometimes to get multiplayer working, everyone involved needs to restart their game. And how the crafting UI sometimes doesn't work unless you use some workarounds. And how a helicopter will sometimes jumpscare you by appearing from beneath your feet, rotor blades first. But the music is amazing, the art direction is iimmaculate, and my ass has never been so tightly clench as when I'd been creeping along some trenches to extract, praying the Grabber won't come for us. Or when we blew up a bridge just to see what would happen and were then chased for the next 4 maps by an absolute unit of a Shield Officer who eventually caught up to us and party wiped us with his bare hands. Or when I realised that Europan EXOs have stealth shielding by almost walking into one from around a corner with a TacCam active. Is the game perfect? Absolutely not! Do I find it butt clenchingly fun regardless? Hell Yes.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

currently don't recommend picking the game up right now. dealing with getting spotted/shot through walls, horrible knockdown from basic grunts that leaves you on the ground for a ridiculous amount of time and nearly impossible to avoid since enemies will insta lock to your forehead the second you turn the corner. they do seem to de aggro slightly after knocking you down, which actually makes it worse, they don't stop shooting you when you go down, but if you have a team, 1 npc can instantly whip from one player to the next on each round meaning your entire team is grounded before you can react. this just means many engagements guarantee you're going to be taking damage, if they don't just straight up kill you with no counter play. even if you do manage to get up, the cooldown on how frequently they can knock you down is questionable. sometimes it seems to give you some reprieve, other times you're knocked straight back down again and stunned locked to death. Game is NOT in a good spot right now
Good game
As of the time I'm writing this, the game is still in development. Nevertheless, I will say it is very enjoyable with all its quirks. The world and it's beauty really compelled me and I really love the artistic vision for everything. Bugs are present in the many, yes, but it's early access so that is literally unavoidable. The gameplay loop keeps me coming back, either solo or with my friends. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for this game and wish the best for it.
It's pretty good game, but, i'd like you to implement a cover dynamic or something that would make the hide dynamic feel more safer. I'm thinking something like an others games, just like Jhon Clumshy's Roast Gecko or Jhon Clumshy's The Partition. If you know what i mean. ;)
The world is immersive, the art design is very well crafted, and the soundtrack sets the tone beautifully. HOWEVER, the gameplay and missing QOL features does needs some fixing but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying it. You can tell there was love and effort put into this game but it just needs more time to cook.
ambiance is unmatched. devs are actively improving the game. if you like survival/extraction games and want a grim dark setting, this is it.
unlike anything else you have every played. everyone writing negative reviews have hundreds of hours in gameplay. that says something, this is the coolest thing that has been made in a long time... maybe forever.
great game
