After watching the movie, I decided to give EXIT 8 a try myself. Some of the anomalies genuinely scared me, especially when you’re already on edge trying to spot what’s changed. The simple setting makes every little detail feel unsettling. Definitely a creepy and unique experience!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

[b]
The Exit 8🫧

I have never identified as a schizophrenic. It was 2AM and I was purchasing a game called "All That Time" that just released a few days ago. I added it to my Steam cart, then this game popped up as Recommended. "The Exit 8.." I watched the trailer and it kind of reminded me of the underground train station that Seong Gi-hun was recruited to the Squid Games in. I watched as the man walked by again and again, the weird posters, the infinite halls... I'm very intrigued by liminal spaces and these kind of "eerie" games, so I decided I'd throw $4 bucks at this one to give it a shot. Upon first boot, I did not really know what I was looking for. I saw the "Exit 0" become "Exit 1" and then back to "Exit 0." I turned around and walked back 4 cycles and turned back around and still saw "Exit 0." Then I read the note on the wall. "Anomalies..." I started to pay more attention to things, how images on the posters looked, how the pattern on the floor looked, how the roof looked. I started noticing more and more. In fact, I started noticing things that honestly others might allow to go unnoticed. Eventually, I saw things that just... weren't there. Like, I had started making up things that NEVER existed, or questioning things that HAD ALWAYS existed. Do I exist? ~ I am now pondering if it would be beneficial to my health to get a diagnosis for schizophrenia. At least I did reach Exit 8 in the end.
It's worth the price vs it's length if that's your concern, even though I don't recommend it since it wasn't really "fun" and I don't feel like I got anything out of it except the relief of having completed it. I'm going to uninstall it after this review is done and never play it again. Why am I so down on it? There isn't anything particularly exciting about it unless you REALLY like subway tile (it really does look amazing on max settings) or liminal spaces. The spooky anomalies aren't all that exciting and don't come nearly often enough. Most of the time it is something tiny like you forgot to look at the back of the hanging yellow sign, or an animation that just forgot to play. Yes, because some of the animations appear to trigger based on time. Sometime around the 70 minuet mark of my single time playing the game I started standing at the end looking back just to see if a poster would move or something, standing still, only to have the lights flicker off or a door open after a bit and i would have to run back. I would have obviously missed those if I had just walked through even examining everything along the way and I believe I did since I have the achievement for all anomalies, yet there are anomalies I don't remember seeing in my 1.6 hour odyssey so I am left to assume they simply didn't trigger when they were assigned to a hallway leading to failing that run. In any case, In my 1.6 hour run I managed to get to 8 twice, only succeeding on the second attempt. My tips that ultimately got me to the end: 1) ALWAYS look back at the end of the hallway for a bit to see if anything moves or whatnot. 2) the posters are 7 tiles apart. 3) don't worry about the man's clothes
I'm not normally one for horror of any type, but The Exit 8 was more than worth the time to check out. It's rooted in the same contemporary scene of liminal horror as works like The Backrooms, focusing on building an unsettling tension as you find yourself walking through looping subway corridors. The trick is that at any time there can be an "anomaly" which, if unnoticed, resets you back to the beginning of the game so you need to keep your eyes peeled for even the slightest thing out of the ordinary. This is, naturally, kind of exhausting as you strain your eyes for anything different, and the game uses that feeling of heightened awareness to ratchet up the sense of tension, often without ever really hitting you with a big scare. It's remarkable how effective this is, to the point where the game can unnerve you with stuff that by horror standards should be relatively innocuous.
Fun little game, personally, I didn't find it scary but it was enjoyable.
