Pains me to give this a game thumbs down but this just seems to have so much wasted potential. Barring the poor voiceover, this was actually pretty well put together horror. Yes there was a lot of cliche but it was actually really starting to build an atmosphere with a couple of earned jumpscares along the way. And then I got hit with the most signposted and frankly silly looking jumpscare and the game ends to credits. The ending screen implies there was a way to get another ending but either my game bugged out or there really is no way to reload. I fired the game up again and it was pretty clear it was the same game again with no changes and the game was starting into a particularly annoying monologue voiceover again and given there seems to be no way to exit to menu I had to alt-F4 out. There was no way I was going to sit through that and then replay all of that again when there really wasn't anything obvious that I could have done differently and likely would have got same ending again.

If your going to do a long winded opening narrative info dump on to the player you need to have visuals with interesting editing and good voice acting to help sell you on the story to draw you in, not you just rambling off fake radio stories in the most bland sleep inducing voice overs on a black screen with just subtitles that goes on WAY too long and is unskippable. so boring i decided that if this is how the creators try to tell a story the game play can't be any better and requested a refund in 5 minutes of starting. the fact that as of writing this has 85% of people saying its good makes me sad. come on people, don't have these low standards, you deserve better then this.

Great environments and sound design, but... Where's a menu and basic BASIC settings? Sometimes I can BARELY see icons that alert me there's something to interact with. The game needs the most fundamental settings, such as brightness, mouse speed, and as others have noted, the option to turn OFF head bob. Why does the E show up to interact and then not actually do anything? It's a habit of mine to close doors as sort of markers so I know when I've explored rooms. Can't do that here. Again, simple basic stuff is important. Pressing and holding the center mouse button to rotate? Clunky. No form of inventory or pause function? Needs those, too. And no auto-save or manual save? Both are must-haves, I can't always play through a game in a single sitting.
