The Dark Prophecy is a 2D pixel-art Point&Click adventure inspired by the best retro games of the 90s. Welcome to a peaceful medieval village, where life is safe and calm. But one fateful night, everything changes.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Yeah, so this was disappointing. As an another reviewer already wrote: to put "Look at" at the last of three options is a terrible idea and results in a clickfest. Above that there's a lovely, but very limited world (about 9 screens in total) with barely anything to interact with, a super linear and super short story that doesn't really make any sense. Would have been okay for 2-3€ game, actually would have been lovely as a free game, but at this price, simply no. Avoid.
beautiful art work and a great concept but this game is unfinished and what exists is barely a demo. I requested a refund but i would be open to repurchasing if they ever finish. as it stands, this game is not worth paying for in it's current state.

Nostalgically modelled after 90s style point and click adventure games, this little game started quite promisingly (the array of oddly phrased responses only add to the low budget charm). Unfortunately, with only 2hrs of gameplay in total, it falls short of being worth the price tag. If this was just the first part of a longer storyline, then my review would be much more positive. As it is - its a solid 'meh' from me.
A nice throwback to some earlier games like Myst and even some of the Space Quest/Kings Quest games of the early 90s. The puzzles are fun and just difficult enough to make you rack your brain for a minute before having that Eureka! moment and solving the task at hand. The pixel art is beautiful and immersive. Just as I got sucked into the story, the demo ended. I can't wait for the whole game to be released so I can continue my adventure!!
This was my first play through of a pixel/text based game since the late 90's. It brought back a ton of nostalgia. The art work is amazing, even for pixel art, the game play is fun and addictive and most of the puzzles are just hard enough to make you stop and think for a bit. I completed the game in just over 4 hours but have yet to check for any alternate endings or replay value but even if that is not an option the price point is well worth the current content, at a bank breaking 5.99 USD, I can say I do not regret the purchase. I hope to see/purchase more content from this developer soon.
great game would reccomend
I like what the dev was trying to do with this game, the art is beautiful, each scene is really well made and nice to look at. The story is interesting and the characters make you want to know more about them. That said, unfortunally there is not much to see, the game is really short. It does a really god job at raising questions, and keeping the player interested, but it ends before answering them. We don't even get to see how the prophecy plays out, or the full story behind the more interesting characters. There could be more meaningful interactions with said characters, i was sure we would do something about a certain cursed character... but we never did! The puzzles concept is good, but they are a bit too linear, you usually only have one problem at the time, and my inventory was mostly empty or with one or two items. I think it would be nice to have many problems to tackle simultaneously with many items and without a certain order to do them. With all that said i am recommending the game, because i really like what the developer was trying to do, the direction it was heading was good, perhaps maybe not enough time or resources to get there, and i wish to see more of this. Oh by the way, i was dumb and couldn't find the inventory at first, if you are like me: it's on the top of the screen, just hover the mouse there.
This is a VERY cute and nostalgia run game. The humor is on point here and the story is short but sweet. The game itself takes anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how easy you find the puzzles. A point and click adventure with adorable art! There are a few spelling/grammatical errors but nothing that makes it impossible to read. It's super cute and I hope the devs make a second chapter and continue improving on this!
