About
The Corrupted is a high-octane sci-fi PVE shooter centered on satisfying progression and intense boss encounters. Plunge into Battlefields consumed by the Anomaly and push through relentless swarms, elite hunters, and colossal bosses. By mastering Core Skills, Memory Samples, and tactical precision, you will transform every run into a more aggressive, stable, and rhythmic performance of pure firepower. As you delve into higher difficulties, experience the ultimate power fantasy of a perfected build while uncovering the dark truths hidden at the heart of the corruption.
The enemy isn't just an obstacle—they are the fuel for your momentum. In The Corrupted, combat is a high-speed loop of destruction. Use explosives, tactical dashes, and sustained suppressive fire to turn a desperate defense into an unstoppable advance. Every kill pushes the tempo; every encounter sharpens your edge.
Death is not the end, but a catalyst for growth. Scavenge materials and rare components to upgrade your gear. Install Memory Samples to refine your stats and enhance your Cores to unlock devastating abilities. With every successful extraction, you return to the fray stronger, tougher, and ready for higher-intensity threats.
Size matters, but strategy wins. The massive bosses of the exclusion zone are more than just bullet sponges—they are complex tactical puzzles. Watch for frenzy phases, dodge crushing blows, and exploit exposed weak points. Topple these giants before they flatten the battlefield.
Power in The Corrupted goes beyond the trigger. Your Core System allows you to integrate shields, blink teleports, and elemental crowd control (Frost, Shock, Fire) directly into your combat flow. You aren’t just changing weapons; you are re-engineering the way you dominate the battlefield.
From shattered cityscapes to abandoned high-tech labs, the world is a decaying warzone. As you push deeper into the anomaly, collect narrative fragments to piece together the truth behind the outbreak. The deeper you go, the more the world pushes back—and the closer you get to the heart of the mystery.
Master your mechanics and perfect your build to take on the highest difficulty tiers. Greater pressure yields higher-quality rewards. Each descent into the corrupted zone is a calculated gamble where skill and preparation determine the payout.

I am neutral in this game. Some may like it but most will probably not. I won't play the game for reasons I will explain below, however, I would not call this a bad game that people should absolutely stay away. A shooter in a nice sci-fi setting, with customizable weapons, characters should be enough reason for me to play it given I have over 1000s hrs in similar games but this game is p2w in pve environment. How is that? Well, mission tells you, you need 350 power for a mission but that sounds like a lie. Your weapon and gear can be double that and you can still struggle mightily with the mission. In destiny for example, it was never a problem to automatically placed in a group to do missions, Here I have not seen a single person to group up and solo does not work well. Most enemy types I have seen are OK, but some that dive at you for half the map are really annoying. Actions take a long time in the game, you wanna place an explosive, open a door, get ammo, everything takes time but enemies are coming at you non-stop and there is nobody to cover you if you are solo. I am fine with grind, but this seems excessive and of course the reason is to pressure you to buy stuff so you can actually do missions to get stuff you need, the gacha angle is there. Still, that some can persevere and sink time into it. I upgraded my first weapon to a point and then hit a wall, telling me to go buy something. I don't know if this type of stuff is really all over the place but my suspicion is it is likely. If you have a team and game allows you to grind it out, it may be fine. I am not going to dwell much on weird graphics and welcoming you with a stupid fake your computer is potato message, you can immediately go to setting and fix that, or typical Chinese developers' love of confusing menus all over the place, these should not be hard to address and probably requires familiarity that you can develop while playing game (Hello, "where winds meet"). This is not a game where you can relax, game puts constant pressure on you, a counter starts with mission and ticks down every second so you are constantly rushing to be able to max that counter when finishing the mission. If you are into that type of gameplay, you may like it.

Its Battle Teams 2, but my question is this same or improved game with more content?
The game should lean into what it is: a free sci-fi PvE shooter with builds and big monsters.

The Corrupted is a sci fi PvE shooter built around fast combat, constant enemy pressure and building up my character between runs. I am fighting through areas affected by the Anomaly while dealing with waves of enemies, stronger hunters and large bosses. What I like about the idea is that it is not just about picking a gun and shooting everything. I am also collecting materials, improving my equipment and changing my build as I go, so each run is supposed to make me stronger and better prepared for the harder areas. The shooting looks like the strongest part for me. The game gives me explosives, tactical dashes and sustained gunfire, so there is a decent amount of movement involved instead of letting me stand still and shoot. I also like the Core system because I can build abilities directly into my combat style. Shields, blink teleportation and elemental effects such as frost, shock and fire give me different ways to deal with enemies. That makes the combat feel more flexible than a basic wave shooter where my only real decision is which weapon I want to use. The progression is another part I think could keep me interested for a while. I can collect materials and rare components to improve my equipment, while Memory Samples let me adjust my stats and Cores unlock stronger abilities. I like progression systems when they actually change how I play rather than just making numbers bigger, and the different abilities here give me some room to experiment with different builds. The higher difficulty levels also give the upgrades a proper purpose because I have something tougher to work towards instead of simply reaching the end of one campaign. The bosses are probably what I would look forward to most. They are designed around weak points and different phases rather than simply having huge health bars, so I have to pay attention to what they are doing and find the right moments to attack. I like that because large enemies can get boring very quickly if the entire strategy is just holding the trigger until they finally die. Having to dodge attacks and look for openings gives these encounters more of a proper fight feeling. My biggest concern is that the game seems very focused on its combat loop, which could make the experience repetitive if there is not enough variety between runs. I am constantly fighting enemies, collecting materials and improving my build, so the progression needs to keep giving me interesting reasons to change how I play. The story is also mostly delivered through narrative fragments as I push deeper into the corrupted areas, which makes it feel more like something I discover in the background rather than a major part of the experience. The setting does have some potential though. The ruined cities and abandoned high tech laboratories give the game a suitable sci fi atmosphere, and the idea of exploring a world that is being consumed by an unexplained Anomaly gives the combat a reason to exist. I also like the idea of becoming more powerful through successful extractions and then using that strength to push into harder areas. That risk and reward structure fits this type of shooter well, especially when my build starts coming together and I can feel the difference between an early run and a properly upgraded one. Overall, The Corrupted looks like a solid action shooter that puts most of its effort into fast PvE combat, build progression and large boss encounters. I like the Core abilities, the different elemental effects, the extraction based progression and the idea of gradually creating a stronger combat setup. My main concern is whether there is enough enemy, mission and environment variety to stop the loop from becoming repetitive, because the progression alone cannot carry a game forever. Still, the foundation is good and the combat systems give it enough of its own identity for me to see the potential. For me, it sits comfortably in the range of a good action game without quite having enough depth to reach the highest scores. Rating: 7.7/10
This is an another version of Battle Teams 2. Wizard Game didnt take care this game when they being released, now they doing money grab operation with this "only-pve" version. 这其实是《生死狙击2》的另一个版本。Wizard Game 当初推出这款游戏的时候根本没有好好运营,现在却把这个“纯PVE”版本拿出来割韭菜。
If You have free money - play. Without money almost impossible to progress. Lack of content.
