About
You wake inside a dead god. The corpse is your world: a continent of rotting organs, bone corridors, and forgotten chambers, rendered in retro terminal ASCII with authentic CRT glow. For fans of Caves of Qud, Dwarf Fortress, Cultist Simulator, and Sunless Sea.

Harvest biomass, calcium, bile, and neurons from the rotting flesh around you. Every organ is a resource. Every bone is a wall. The deeper you carve, the more the carcass yields and the more it remembers.

Build chambers, forges, and altars across living anatomy. Every citizen has traits, skills, and scars that outlive them. Leaders rise. Factions form and clash. Hold morale together or decide who eats and who is eaten.

Research splits into combat, production, diplomacy, and forbidden arts. Unlock occult mutations: bone armor, mind-link, parasite resistance, the ability to digest gods. The deeper you dig, the more the carcass understands you.

Send your warriors into the marrow. Battle parasites that learned what fear is. Defend chambers against creatures that wake when you sleep. Permadeath is real, but the carcass remembers every warrior you ever sent in.

Story-rich Lovecraftian events drawn from deep cosmic horror lore. A stranger comes asking for shelter. An organ pulses with stolen memory. The voice in the wall offers a deal. Every choice echoes through factions, futures, and endings.

Every keystroke shapes your fate. Every choice carries forward. New Game Plus carries your victories. The carcass remembers everything you ever did inside it.

Dominion. Symbiosis. Awakening. Escape. Transcendence. Five main endings, and four more hidden behind cryptic choices. Each demands a different strategy. Each rewrites how the god remembers you.

Five difficulty levels from Merciful to Extinction. Permadeath Ironman mode. Localization, accessibility, and a customizable terminal. Pure keyboard input. Authentic CRT effects. No mouse needed.

Execution: a convoluted slop. The premise is great, but can barely be seen behind the nonchalance.
I was disappointed in how this game turned out after looking forward to it for a while, the premise of it somewhat reminded me of godhusk initially. A lot of the text and style was strange and then I realize the style is AI and there's no mention of that in the description, tags or menu, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it since it's really noticeable past mid intro but especially once you get to engaging the options. Could be fine on its own with extra work, but it's not a style I want to support and it really detracts from what this game initially seemed to be

1. The vibe-translated Chinese version is harder to understand than the original English version. (My mother tongue is Chinese). 2. The English version itself is hard to understand. 3. Vibe-coding is acceptable. Vibe-story writing is not. AI isn't good at storytelling. 4. At least support vim-like keymaps.

tldr: I talk about my personal ups and downs in my first 30 minutes of the game and will continue to update this review if I see fit. As of now, if you enjoy ASCII, colony-types, and weird cosmic stuff id give it a go! I had this game on my wishlist for a while before its release and was very interested, as a person who likes ASCII, old style typing games, and colony managers.. it was everything I loved all wrapped up in one, and looks like something id LOVE to had made myself! Before making my purchase of the title, I noticed the negative reviews and decided to take a look. Upon closer inspection, I knew I had a very interesting case on hand.. something I really enjoy as a concept might actually be a slop title... All the more reason to buy it and make my own review of it!! And after 30 minutes of play I can say that I will be playing more and will update this review if I come to hate the game for any reason in an EDIT, but as of this time, I will give it this: >Good story leading into things, had me hooked and is a very captivating idea for a setting! it was however NOT 10-12 minutes for me, maby I looked into it too much? Felt kinda lengthy, idk. >Overall amazing art I've seen, much enjoy! >Confusing text.. I cannot look at an option and go "I understand what this means" without looking at the explanation text beneath it, and while I understand that is part of the feel of the game - and possibly being a more accurate description of WHAT YOUR DOING.. some of the options, on a surface level look nonsensical when in reality, its just doing something simple like managing an army, esc... >This game was partially made by AI? Well, I believe it was confirmed, but honestly.. I think its okay for a person to have AI assistance in the creation of a game, wanted or required! This dev seems very understanding of their accidentally not conveying that to the best degree, and I think we should be understanding of it.. If that makes me look worse in your eyes for not fully understanding the situation, sorry, but I'm just a steam reviewer, and I'm really not that smart of a person in the first place, so forgive me ;-; hope this helped <3
I'm a little over an hour in, and I've enjoyed my time so far. Other reviewers feel strongly about AI and have lots to say about that, but for me the proof is in the playing. I'm glad I picked up this unusual title. The game's startup was a bit labyrinthian, but it also has a spooky charm to it. I've had fun exploring its green halls covered in pulsing, necrotic flesh.
Very good ! Just started the game, so far intrigued. AI strongly involved. Not for everyone.
I really liked the game's art style and story; it has a unique style. I’ve always liked ASCII art, so it was great to see it here. It’s an original game with a unique take—quite compelling for the price.
