I first discovered The Cabin Factory at its release through the YouTuber HandOfBlood, and I must have recommended it to at least ten people before I finally bought and played it myself. The Cabin Factory is a small indie horror game that falls into the "anomaly finder" genre. You’re an employee at a factory that builds horror houses for amusement parks and film sets. Your shift ends once you’ve correctly marked eight cabins in a row as either haunted or clean. If you make a mistake, the counter resets. The cabins don’t differ much from one another, rather, they show minor anomalies. As you go through your workday, inspecting each cabin and uncovering anomalies, a small story unfolds about the family whose cabin you’re investigating. And who knows - maybe you’re more deeply entangled in the story than you realized? In summary, I can recommend The Cabin Factory to anyone who loves anomaly finders, short indie horror games, and a quick scare for some spare time. It’s definitely worth a buy.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great short indie horror, though there is no reason to replay it after getting 100%. As someone who has fully completed The Exit 8, Project 13, and Project 13: Taxidermy Trials, I can confidently say that The Cabin Factory delivers by far the best and densest horror atmosphere in the genre. The sound design and that claustrophobic feeling inside the cabins are spot on. I also really liked uncovering the story, it added a great creepy vibe to the game. On the other hand, the game fell a bit short in terms of length and difficulty. Most of the anomalies were way too obvious because the game relies almost entirely on moving objects. Since you are just looking for things that move rather than subtle static changes in textures or environment details, it makes the gameplay too easy and you quickly learn exactly where to look. Compared to its competitors, it felt less engaging from a gameplay standpoint, and getting 100% achievements wasn't much of a challenge. However it is still a very solid experience and I definitely recommend checking it out.
где-то там ходил куплинов
It's only one building
The concept is very cool, and it's done well too. The problem is – it's really a short experience. It's just one cabin. I'm confident it would be possible to have a larger scope narrative that would invole more buildings / areas, more progression, etc. One could argue that the game's advertising is a bit misleading regarding the experience. The fact that this is "short game" is not mentioned in the short description, and is mentioned in the last paragraph of the long description.

cool enough to try; but – a bit too short.
It's a 10 minute game that relies on screwing you over to extend the runtime. You have to inspect the exact same cabin 8 times in a row to find anomalies and then decide whether it's haunted or not. Get it wrong once, or die, and it resets to 0 and you start all over. The anomalies are random and some of them seem designed to kill you without any clear way of avoiding it. I guess I shouldn't expect too much from a 3€ game, but I was disappointed anyway. More than likely designed to be streamerslop for horror streamers.
para pasar el rato y darte un cagaso vale la pena
Short horror game that has the same gameplay loop as The Exit 8 where you determine if an anomaly is present or not. Some of the scares seriously got me and I enjoyed the twist ending. There's even a random mode if you wish to replay the game without deleting your save data. This was a blast to experience and I would definitely recommend it.
This is a great "anomaly" type horror game. The execution is wonderful, with such a neat concept. You can tell the devs really focused on the creep factor and expertly used a disturbing event to really amp up the discomfort and ambience of it all. This is one of those games that is a prime example of less is more. It isn't overwhelming with instructions or objectives and it gives you just enough information to get you started and keep you engaged. If you are looking for something to scratch that scary game itch, but you aren't in the mood for survival horror or puzzles under pressure, then this is the game for you. Is there a survival element to it? Yes, but only in the sense of get out of the cabin once you have positively identified a presence. There is only a handful of cabins where you will encounter something that requires expedience and I genuinely appreciated that. I think it's worth the price for what it is and recommend it for those players that want a horror game, but are not ready for or interested in something like Amnesia, Outlast or Backrooms (all of those are great horror game series as well though). Might need to turn up the gamma if you can't see some of the movements, which is something I had to do after I was positive the cabin was clear, but would be wrong. Also, I didn't stay in the cabins long enough on some of them because, well I was spooked lol.
Really well done. Really really well done. For $3 I don't think you'll find a better experience. That one cabin....my god it was terrifying. Took like...1.5 hours to get all scenarios seen. Great game.
A really good anomaly horror game. Even though it is pretty short I had a lot of fun with it. There were a lot of creative and innovative ideas and some of the anomalies were genuinely creepy. The atmosphere was really well done and always kept me stressed. For only 3€ the game also looks surprisingly good and honestly way better than I expected.
