Tetris Effect is genuinely peak. Now I get that at the end of the day it’s just Tetris, but this game is truly an experience. The visuals are hypnotic, the soundtrack is truly one of the greatest soundtracks ever IMO, and after completing journey mode on normal, getting A rank on every course, I felt it was justified to finally write a review. I’m such a casual Tetris player, but something about it has always been enjoyable to me. I loved Tetris DX on the Game Boy Color, and I finally wanted to look into something more modern. I first bought this on my Quest years ago, and honestly, that in itself is an even more immersive experience. But I rarely played my Quest, so I eventually bought it again on my pc and realized again just how good this game is. They have a pretty active online community with weekend events, but I’ve only ever tried that once or twice. This is just a chill game to play if you are In between games and I love it. If you like Tetris, definitely check this out. I think I got it on sale for $20.00.

Getting high and playing this felt like I was meeting God because I had forgotten to do his taxes and he called me into his office to fix things. 10/10, but minus two or three for the price.

I like it.
This is a great Tetris game. It has loads of different game modes, some are a couple of minutes each, some take much longer and some are infinite as long as you don't fail. The variety of different modes was suprising, clever and funny. One of the modes (all clear I think) is a fantastic work out for the brain and one of my favourites. Runs great in 4k in Linux with my setup, really beautiful graphics. It's great to play with your partner or friend. The feeling when you improve and earn an S or SS rank is brill.
