A fun Tetris entry, with trippy, pleasant visuals and music. The multiplayer co-op mode is challenging and unique, with bosses that throw all sorts of unfair tricks your way. This is where the game's trippy presentation actually hinders gameplay, but it's by design and I think that's a pretty cool twist on the Tetris formula; I thought after Tetris DS and Puyo Puyo Tetris the creativity well had been drained, but here we are with a man vs. machine Tetris mode where the playfield shifts around and constantly makes you engage more with your hand-eye coordination while also under intense pressure. Definitely a cool idea. My only complaint is I'd liked there to have been more modes. Speaking of those CPU opponents, they can do things like force tri-pieces of 3, or pent-pieces of 5, and even more, and that would be a pretty cool mode to just play with those pieces, if only for practice against those bosses but also just to have a fun alternate way to play. By the same token, I think having a giant playing field mode would be interesting, or at least a customizable field that lets players choose their own height and width so you could make fun self-imposed challenges. The game's been out a while so I doubt we'll see an update that adds these kinds of things, but it's the kind of thing I'd like to see, whether here as an update or DLC or in a sequel. Anyhow, I recommend it. Fun on a screen but more interesting in VR.

personally feel like tetrio is more satisfying to play around with. although it may be satisfying to 100% the game. i don't really understand why you would pay even 20 dollars for this game.
I haven't gotten tired of this game since it came out. The audio and visuals are a treat that will keep you coming back (as long as you like Tetris)

Stage quality wavers since the songs are so reliant on how the level plays out. Some feel transcendent especially while in VR and others you just want done ASAP. Everything else this game offers is fantastic but I'm rating just story mode. 7.5/10
