Incredible fun and interesting platformer. The inspiration from Celeste is obvious, but it has enough unique mechanics to stand out as a good game on its own. Got the true ending and have a really good time with it. My only complain as that some sequences can be more frustrating than intended. The amount of times I died because there was ONE spike poking out of a corner was astronomical, and I don't think those situations actually add to the challenge.
Tethergeist is an awesome platformer. As a person coming from things like kaizo mario, it is so much fun and I really enjoyed both the different levels, aswell as the "powers" the game gives to you. NPC Dialogue is mostly optional, yet very fun to read through and gives lots of small moments that make you laugh. On that topic: the german translation is phenomenal! Overall, I loved the game and can only highly recommend this to anybody, please support this game and these devs!

Good game
fun game :)
I'm loving this game. I've always wanted a game that hits the same way as Celeste in the precision platforming genre and this game brings a refreshing take on it. I'm on chapter 3 and have been enjoying what the game has offered so far. I especially love the cute artstyle, the cutscenes (comic book style) and the UI inspirations from Celeste. Each chapter has introduced a new mechanic which keeps the levels fresh and prevents it from getting stale. Thanks for this amazing game and providing me with a key to try it out! Please keep making games <3
You're on a path in the woods. At the end of that path is a cabin. In that cabin is a princess. You're here to slay here. If you don't, it will be the end of the wo- wait a minute, that's not the right game... You're Mae. You live in a world where people can spirit travel. You have a tether (hence the "tether" + "geist" (ghost)). And you have a Binding to go on. You'll meet friends and travelers and NPCs who have sidequests for you, but above all: despite your disability, you still thrive.
they could've split this game into two separate releases, and both would still be worth buying.
Tehg raphics are great and the movement mechanics are super interesting. Kinda hard to master sometimes though. I like finding all the hidden flowers.
The jellyfish in world 2 are the worst. But after world 2 you don't need to deal with them as much anymore, and the platforming goes back to having a nice flow, a combination of puzzle and precision that feels satisfying when you get it right.
I highly reccomend this gmae if youre a fan of platformets, the tether mechanic is really fun and unique and i found myself really enjoying the levels. the story is also beutifully crafted and i highly reccomend this game if ur looking for another celeste-like!
