About
Terraforming Titans is an incremental colony builder where the objective is to terraform multiple worlds with a moderate focus on realism and a simulated climate model.
Play as a Terraforming AI. Your mission is crystal clear: terraform Mars, ensure the safety of all colonists and maintain your own integrity. What could possibly go wrong?
It turns out a lot can indeed go wrong with such a simple mission. The directives will evolve, you will grow and what begins as initially one terraform will become many.
The Milky Way contains hundreds of billions of stars, ten billion white dwarfs and a hundred million black holes. For a Terraforming AI like you, this is nothing but more resources. Harness their energy and harvest their mass so you can build greater and greater worlds to terraform. Can humanity become a Kardashev III civilization?
This game features at least one hundred hours of varied content. Each story world presents unique challenges and will unlock more features to keep the gameplay fresh. As you progress so does human science, providing you with powerful future breakthroughs to boost your terraforming efforts even further.
Terraform Mars and many other worlds across the galaxy.

Originally played the web version; still on a run; moved it into this version when I saw it was released. Really solid game, lots of fun if you're into the idle-y simulation-y kind of thing. More simulation than idle.
Hands down my favorite incremental game. Has a great plot that I was absolutely not expecting, the numbers actually correlate to real things so there is a definite sense of scale happening. Also has very comprehensive difficulty adjusters that lets you fully customize how easy or hard you want the progression to be. If you like the idea of terraforming space or incremental games this is 1000% worth the play through.

Is nice and has story - little slow at start and after 18h you get to know that you just played the tutorial ;)
100% fantastic JUST for the reference to SCP-2844! Also the game actually is really in-depth and enjoyable
Fantastic Idle Management game with a good light story, highly recommended
It is a little more open than antimatter dimensions, or universal paperclips, whitch is nice. Other than that, it is a touch slow. Great for watching a movie or listening to an audiobook while you play.
good game and getting better.
After completing the main story for game, doing automation for various world, but not yet completing the full research tree, I can give this a tentative thumbs up. I love terraforming games. There's something about the incremental creation of humanity's home among the stars away from earth's cradle that speaks to me. Its so full of hope. That is what got me to buy this game. However, it adds onto this with a story. Never let it be said that a story is meaningless. It gives context for your struggles and this incremental game proves that it works. Knowing you're struggling to create a second or third home for humanity, barely able to pull them past the finishing line, facing invasions and threats and added mechanics as you grow in power and influence... It is a fun experience. I find it struggles, however. It drops frames rather drastically running at high speeds, which is unfortunate. There is often information overload and obscured information. The automation is full of useful tools but in order to use them to the fullest you'll need to learn to code. You're basically running an internal bot to play the game for you, which I don't find particularly interesting. An example of requirements for code would be the lack of timers or easily set parameters. You can either strip the atmosphere of all of its resources, or not strip it of all of its resources. You can't set it to strip it all of its resources then turn off so you can import new atmosphere. The story does have some rough patches. Romances come out of left field, such as between HOPE and Epicurious, a few character deaths feel forced, though it is ultimately a bittersweet ending that I did find moving. I enjoyed my time with this game. For five dollars, it costs less than the latest Elden Ring DLC and provided me more enjoyment than the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I recommend it if you find humanity's ascension to be fun. Also incrementals.
(Finished the story on the itch.io version and currently replaying it on steam) I'll let the other comments explain why this is a very good game and instead focus on a random aspect i loved This game is very sandbox, you have lots of ways to solve the diverse problems this game throws at you. Some solutions are straight forward and simply needs you to grow your economy, some are more efficient but requires you to interact differently than you usually do, and some are crazy and dumb but works (Too much methane in atmosphere ? Just make oxygen until the atmosphere COMBUST and transform the methane into co2) Would i recommend this game for everyone ? No as it is above average in complexity for an incremental, little idle time and zero offline stuff which might turn some people away Is it the most interesting incremental i've played yet ? Probably, definitely top 3
(I've got a lot more hours on the pre-steam itch version) An extremely fun game automation incremental. This is also a long game, unlike a lot of steam incrementals. Though for $5, it's definitely worth checking out even if you just want to spend a couple hours terraforming Mars (the first planet). The real depth of the game comes in the prestige system and through terraforming story worlds. I will say that while this game is about automating terraforming, it is actually a fairly active game. More in-depth automation becomes available as you progress through the story worlds, but because as you progress you get better at terraforming / more challenges getting thrown at you, the time between active intervention stays very short. Even in the post-story phase (where every bit of automation is unlocked, and whole worlds can be terraformed automatically), a lot of the game is spent actively setting up the automation and tweaking the scripting. Also this game doesn't have the cardinal incremental game sin of requiring discord to progress (or progress at a good rate). However, if you have any questions, the discord is very helpful and active. Furthermore, the dev is also very active and responsive to feedback; which is always good to see in a game. Ultimately, the game is $5, and you'll have the first world to determine if you like the game. The current fastest completion of mars is 40 minutes. While you probably won't be that fast, there is plenty of time to decide if you like the game, so why not give it a try.
