Janky as hell, truly baffling that there are so few negative reviews. My PC meets or exceeds all reccomended requirements yet the performance is awful even on minimum settings. Controls are very unresponsive and the lean detection is awful. If you turn flips on, you will try to flip everytime you hit the slightest bump because you are always gonna be leaning slightly back or forwards. Seriously how the hell am I supposed to hold my head perfectly straight at all times?
Early days but loving it so far.

awesome
Have played this game once before in Demo mode. Decided to buy the full version. Selected Ski Mode and calibrated floor height and poles. Attempted to click calibrate height and it just dumps you into a ski session. Your Skier is approx 200mm out of it's bindings and the ski's themselves are through the ground on a 25 degree angle. Running the game on a quest 3, I'd assume this game is no longer capable with newer generation vr's. Literally nothing you can do to fix this issue both via game settings & quest environment settings.
What can I say? Powder VR is amazing! I love the thrill and sense of speed the game gives you. Shredding the slopes and pulling off tricks is so much fun in VR. Great job devs, can't wait for the full release!
One of the first levels in the campaign is unbeatable due to a glitch. This stops you from continuing the campaign. decent gameplay, ok graphics, get it on sale I'd say.
Really enjoying this game and the devs have been very responsive. Check out some videos. If you loved games like SSX or Tony Hawk. You will have a blast.
Unfortunately there's something game breaking: a couple of tracks have a mountain in the middle, so you can't finish them... Last update was more than 2 years ago, so it's basically dead (even if I always hope in a huge update for textures and bug fixing... like the crash cam which is better in the demo 😁). That said, the game is super fun: unlike all the other snowboard games for Quest, you can even do upside down tricks, and the feeling of speed is one of the best. Try the demo, then choose if buying it (when it's on sale). If you want to watch some gameplay: https://youtu.be/QkWrvXeCQIY
Still very early access, but there is a lot of potential in this title and I'm enjoying it quite a bit despite the current issues. I can only see this game getting better and better the more time it has in the oven.
The moment I began to go down my first slope, it immediately gave me nostalgia. It reminded me a little of Tony Hawk's Pro-skater. I used to play that game a lot as a teen with my cousins. Great memories! Playing Powder VR was my first experience of a first person sport immersed in VR. I do prefer the rhythm games in VR so playing this was branching out for me even though I do ski. I have to say, it is intense! On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate this as an 8. I did get some vertigo going around corners, but I think the more time I spend in this game, it will get better. The sense of locomotion in VR can be different for everyone. If you like skiing and snowboarding, or want to try out the sport while doing tricks, having access to customization, and/or you are the type of person that doesn't want the risk of getting hurt on the real slopes, check it out! You can have your own x-games in the comfort of your living room.
