Es el juego que todo fan de pokemon querría jugar. Un pequeño giro a la fórmula que todos conocemos y queremos. La historia se juega en formato de combates dobles, las mecánicas están pensadas para que no haya RNG y se siente genial. Además, hay ataques que sinergizan según el tipo del temtem que tengas al lado. Lo que permite estrategias más complejas. Asimismo, el uso de stamina en lugar de pp me parece un acierto total. Se siente muy bien balanceado. Respecto a la historia, es mejor que lo que estamos acostumbrados en la franquicia de referencia. Aunque, ha falta de terminarla, tampoco me parece lo mejor que ofrece el juego. Finalmente, los protagonistas del juego: los temtem. Los diseños son muy chulos y las animaciones del combate son brutales. Además, el juego logra volver a esa sensación de ir descubriendo los temtem sobre la marcha y eso mola una barbaridad. En definitiva, si te gusta el genero temtem te encantará.

Great game, great initiative, great execution. Overall an amazing experience.

The combat is fun and unique but the quests are annoying. They are basically just a lot of running back and forth between areas you've already been to then running back to where you came from. The battles are a bit more difficult than a typical pokemon game though which is a plus. I was hoping that after completing the main quest I could shiny hunt which is why I got the game in the first place, but sadly the shiny hunting method is behind a paywall. You have to do weekly challenges to obtain the currency to do anything fun in the post game including shiny hunting, or you can pay money for the battle pass. The game having a separate currency for postgame that costs actual money just ruined the whole thing for me. Honestly if you want to play a woke creature collector, cassette beasts is a way more enjoyable and unique game.

I definitely love this game, and also do not think it should be 45 dollars. Get it while it's on sale, because it's great fun, very cute, and scratches that creature collector itch. But if I had paid full price for it, I probably would have returned it, because it doesn't feel like a 45 dollar game. Positives: It's a very charming art style, and the character design is very nice. I love that you can choose your character's animations, and how easy it is to make a nonbinary-feeling avatar. The creatures are all very cute and interesting, and the sounds they make are great. If you wanted a non-tendo creature collection game, it's a good one for that. Negatives: The traveling around is a bit of a hassle, as the fast travel appears to be only between islands, not town to town, so you have to do a lot of running about. Creatures seem to have only one evolution, so there's no satisfaction of getting something through multiple evolutions to its final form, and some don't evolve at all. The gyms are designed in a strange mazelike way to force you to encounter every member there, and remembering how to move through them is a pain. There is a lot of grinding in that tall grass to get your Tems up to level for the dojo leaders, or just for the next island you visit. Overall, I have been having a lot of fun, and I would recommend it as a creature collector for the enthusiasts, but it feels overpriced, so I would highly suggest buying it during a sale.
