Reviews
Разработчики извращенцы. Я крайне редко пишу отзывы на игры. Но они убили во мне любовь к этому жанру игр. И за это убийство я не посмотрю больше ни на одну игру этого разработчика.
Abandonware. Devs shoved 0.6 out as "1.0" and haven't even done any bug fixing since release. Avoid at all cost.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This was looking like a fantastic game before version 1.0 all it needed was tweeking for performance like adding DLSS now they have split 1 map up into 11 maps that connect with an elevator to help the fps they have made it worse. 7800X3d & 3080TI running endgame level 16 and getting around 5 to 15 fps play it free on game pass before you spend your hard earned money.
I liked the game as a Factorio-like, but this one has a unique mechanic that really pushes you to scale, no.. TO SCALE - and I actually enjoyed that a lot that said, be aware: - I can’t recommend it for co-op play due to awful synchronization issues ( = solo only ) - some descriptions in the resource tree are incorrect, which can cause unnecessary time waste - the game has an annoying mechanic where you have to manually restart engines >> in an automation game, which feels especially frustrating
Ruined and abandoned before I even had a chance to sit down and play it after buying on sale. Unfortunate.
I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of factory automation games. I'm a big fan of the genre including Satisfactory, Factorio, Factory Town, and Shapez. I know the reviews have turned mostly negative since the 1.0 release but I strongly disagree with those ratings. I think a lot of it is driven by early access people where were unhappy with the changes made in 1.0 but as someone who only played 1.0, I was very happy with it and didn't mind the changes that were made. The game plays an awful lot like Satisfactory so if you like Satisfactory, there's good change you'll like this game as well. It's got a better story and a more sophisticated research tree. And the machine building and convey belts will feel quite comfortable for a Satisfactory player. The game does have some rough edges though. The interface is ugly and a little quirky and there are some bugs in the game. And the devs aren't going to do anymore work on the game which is a shame. But none of that should stop you from playing it. I even think the game is worth it at full price.
Underrated game! I finished the beta version and had a great time (on my second Steam account). Pros: immersion, beautiful graphics, interesting mechanics—like the single-track railway, or rather, a cute little train 😊 The game has a lower rating than it deserves. This is due to the developer facing issues and the uncertain future of the game. But is that really a reason to rate it negatively? Alongside Satisfactory, Eden Crafters, and Foundry, this is one of my favorite games. Thumbs up from me—now onto version 1.0!
tl;dr: [Experience is only as single-player after 1.0, tested demo before] Ignore the q.q about how the game was changed since early access and how satisfactory is much better and so on. Buy it when it is on a good discount, have a good time for up to 80-100 hours depending on playstyle, and some downdraft to get the story finished and all achievements for an additional 20-40 if you keep up. Nod, uninstall, search for something new. My recap: Techtonica is a typical factory builder "under earth", so you never see any sky [see story for why]. You start pick-axing your first materials, start smelting ores to get bars, build belts, start to automate, scale up. Terrain manipulation via tunneling and flattening is kind of a core element and sometimes fun, later only used for exploring and making more place for more factory. There are 15+ sequential unlockable "levels" (literally), connected with a large elevator that allows the transfer of goods between them. It contains a story to uncover, explaining why you are there and "alone". But there are "people" that will talk you through it. Exploring (something I like) is expected and kind of rewarding, because you will get stuff that you will likely not be able to mass-produce at that moment, so it feels "valuable". There are many quality-of-life features missing, but you will get over it. The biggest feature that would have been needed: Blueprints. Yes, you have to build everything but belts completely by hand, even in the endgame. This is, to be honest, the moment the game will become something more like work than a game for fun. But in the moment this would likely get annoying, you are so close to the end that you will just bite yourself through it. And that's it. If you are searching for "something" that is a factory builder because you have played through Satisfactory just for the feeling of something different or new, you are in the right place. Don't expect the same quality, as you already can see by the videos, images, and the less history-related reviews. Yes, this game seems to be left alone die after 1.0, but is good-enough for a discounted price to have more hours of fun than many A+, ++ or +++ titles out there that cost 5-10 times more than Techtonica.
