About
Welcome to the gritty neon-lit streets of Rainbow Drive, where the night never ends, and the music never stops. In Techno Banter, you step into the shoes of Nil, a once-rising star turned bouncer at the infamous Green Door club. Your job? Keep the party alive by assessing the guests at the door. Are they ready to rave, or are they just not cutting it? If they’re not up to par, it’s time to turn them away with a razor-sharp insult, clever comeback, or a devastating quip.

Every night brings a new challenge. You’ll face a parade of quirky, eccentric characters, each with their own backstory, style, and attitude. As the gatekeeper of the Green Door, you’ll need to quickly size up each guest. Does their outfit scream ‘party material,’ or are they a walking fashion disaster? Are they here to dance the night away, or are they just trouble waiting to happen? When it’s time to say no, you’ll have to do it with flair—because in Techno Banter, words can hit harder than a bass drop.

Explore the pulsating, vibrant world of Rainbow Drive, a district that thrives under the glow of neon and the thump of heavy basslines. The city is alive with strange and fascinating inhabitants, and it’s up to you to navigate its twists and turns. From dark alleys to dazzling dance floors, every corner of the city tells a story, and every night brings a new experience. As you work the queue at the Green Door and improve the quality of the party, you’ll also have the chance to upgrade the club, turning it into the ultimate techno haven.

A true techno experience wouldn't be complete without a killer soundtrack. Techno Banter features tracks from real-life Berlin-based DJs, capturing the raw energy of the underground scene. Each party is underscored by deep house and techno beats that transport you straight to the heart of Berlin’s rave culture. Whether you’re bouncing guests or exploring the city, the music will keep your adrenaline pumping and your head nodding.
Are you ready to elevate the party to the next level - or will you bring ruin to the rave scene?
The night is yours in Techno Banter.

Just finished my first playthrough of this game. Really fun. Very reminiscent to Monkey Island, and also reminded me a bit of Papers Please.
I've been sitting with this on my wishlist for a while but finally picked it up on sale. What a trip. Very unique, it knows what it is and doesn't overstay its welcome. The characters are all unique with their own personalities and stories, and the game makes you make some tough choices and gives you some feels for things. Definitely give it a go, certainly worth picking up on sale if you're on the fence.
I almost finished all the content of the game in less than 10 hours, still I do not regret buying this game even if it's somewhat short for its price. The atmosphere is great, the music is great (sometimes a bit too loud), the artstyle is great, the story is simple but immersive, the gameplay is fun and unique ... this game is overall great and I'm surprised by how few people tried it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Had a great time on my first playthrought! Its a witty and funny game with tons of cool diverse choices on how to proceed. The only downside being that it was sadly too short! I felt like I was finally at the top of my game when suddenly it was already the final night. I didn't manage to achieve a perfect ending (18/20), and will definitely try again. Still... Really wish I could play even more of it.
Incredibly fun story line, overall an excellent game worth the price
Beginning to end in 5 hours. Thought about playing it through again but ultimately didn't. Nice game, glad I played it through. Doesn't overstay its welcome.
Clearly good engouh but in case it is needed, just onions.
Nice and original story, characters and vibes. Some parts took me a while to figure out what options were the right ones. This game made me feel valued for just wanting to have a good dance and go see the DJs that I like.
cool ! une traduction française serait trop bien !
Genialna pozycja. Wciągająca historia, świetne dialogi, cudowny gameplay - 10/10. Jedno przejście to za mało. Będę do niej wracać.
