About
Welcome to the gritty neon-lit streets of Rainbow Drive, where the night never ends, and the music never stops. In Techno Banter, you step into the shoes of Nil, a once-rising star turned bouncer at the infamous Green Door club. Your job? Keep the party alive by assessing the guests at the door. Are they ready to rave, or are they just not cutting it? If they’re not up to par, it’s time to turn them away with a razor-sharp insult, clever comeback, or a devastating quip.

Every night brings a new challenge. You’ll face a parade of quirky, eccentric characters, each with their own backstory, style, and attitude. As the gatekeeper of the Green Door, you’ll need to quickly size up each guest. Does their outfit scream ‘party material,’ or are they a walking fashion disaster? Are they here to dance the night away, or are they just trouble waiting to happen? When it’s time to say no, you’ll have to do it with flair—because in Techno Banter, words can hit harder than a bass drop.

Explore the pulsating, vibrant world of Rainbow Drive, a district that thrives under the glow of neon and the thump of heavy basslines. The city is alive with strange and fascinating inhabitants, and it’s up to you to navigate its twists and turns. From dark alleys to dazzling dance floors, every corner of the city tells a story, and every night brings a new experience. As you work the queue at the Green Door and improve the quality of the party, you’ll also have the chance to upgrade the club, turning it into the ultimate techno haven.

A true techno experience wouldn't be complete without a killer soundtrack. Techno Banter features tracks from real-life Berlin-based DJs, capturing the raw energy of the underground scene. Each party is underscored by deep house and techno beats that transport you straight to the heart of Berlin’s rave culture. Whether you’re bouncing guests or exploring the city, the music will keep your adrenaline pumping and your head nodding.
Are you ready to elevate the party to the next level - or will you bring ruin to the rave scene?
The night is yours in Techno Banter.

I liked it it's fun not many people played it but it's fun Probably the best choice would be to get it whenever there's a sale but it's fun 10 hours of gameplay ( if you do the side quests )

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 22 → 0.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just finished my first play through and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. I'm hooked. The game is worth the full price, and if it's on sale, GET IT. - Graphics and art style *chefs kiss* - Gritty atmosphere with a nice comedy balance. - Conversation trees were a lot of fun. Repeating stages doesn't give you the same order/kind of options it does the first play through. - There's a lot of stories going on, this game rewards interacting with the community and picking up random side quests. - Mini games are challenging but not frustrating, neat way to break up dialogue.
i really loved this game. The visuals are great, I love the comedy throughout and was invested in the story. After the first playthrough I wanted to go through again and try and get the best ending. My only issues would be the next time you're at the art gallery you can't help the gorilla guy who was your coworker. Also the fish quest didn't get completed once I'd collected them all and spoke to the person in the lab coat. But overall would recommend.
It's a simple and short game... more of a story-telling game than anything that requires insane skills like a Darksouls. But I really enjoyed this, because it's different to what I normally play and it still challenged my wits. There is some really deep messages there and if you know german culture, even a few jokes that will get you loughing aswell as them playing with stereotypes all over. I never had any bugs and it would have some replayability for some different endings. If you save frequent you might not need to restart from scratch all the time. Only thing I disliked is how obvious they need to make it that some media institution and the german Bundestag is supporting that project... I mean.. they need to. If the devs are german this is the literal only good game that came from german devs in a while. The other stuff is filled with bugs and loughable, meanwhile anyone else is producing AAA Games. So yea, thanks for not making a buggy mess guys <3
wonderful story and music
Tis a pretty good game, with funny chars and simple but decent story, a bit too short but fun1
Good game, if you like papers please or these types of games this is a fun one. You can play as naked also lol
This game is a solid 8/10 What can I say? The game is short. Though it pulled me in and gave me a moment to get used to the world. The mechanics are simple mouse and click with some keyboard. At times though the movement made me sick. (Slightly lessen bloom and shake in the settings.) Its simple but satisfying to be looking around and see the distance and polishing put in to the game. The world. I love it. The characters and choices for everything seemed so fluid and eventful that it didn't seem unnatural. Quite the opposite. Natural. A little exploration and freedom to explore as you please but seemed tied down to the characters life made this game so investing that I made choices to ignore and even pushed some stupidity into the mix that influenced the games ending drastically. The ending. I am happy with my choices but it the choices really do matter. A missed quest here or a failed event. It makes you feel like you could have done more. I won't be replaying not because of the game play but because it was so good to see my choices and accepting that this is the world that was made because of me. A story that was well written and enjoyable right to the end. (Except the boss.I hated him.)
