Definitely get it on sale because it has performance issues, and a general clunkiness to it. The graphics are definitely the worst feature in this game; you get used to it after a while, but if you close your eyes for too long you'll remember how blurry everything is, even without motion blur enabled. The devs seem pretty lively, so I still have hope that they can iron things out over time. Anyway, where this game shined for me is tank production. At a certain point, you will be physically unable to run out of rep points, so your only issue is money, and that changed the game completely for me. Rather than doing contracts, I decided to manufacture tanks, which made me look for the easiest builds that sell for the highest. In the end, I mass produced the T-34/76, making over a hundred models. I got so good that I could make one T-34 every 5 minutes. The production line experience was so fun and rewarding, and the design is now engraved in my memory forever. I filled my museum with Russian tanks out of respect for their simplicity. I highly recommend them. Please devs, whatever you do, don't make the T-34 more complicated (like the IS-2 or BT-7), and don't nerf the $76K selling price, because I would say it's the best build in the entire game. There's like only 2 elements on the entire tank that you need to screw in, and when you compare that to the Maus, it's clearly heaven against hell. As long as the T-34 remains like this, I will recommend this game. I love it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

For diehard tank fans it is a good game. However, even a diehard fan like me cannot find much replayability in this game. The progression is quick and simple with unfortunately content only lasting afformentioned 30~ hours (not counting DLC). That is still a good amount but it feels like a bummer how much more this could be. There is no mod support for custom vehicles or the tools to make them which also really limits the moding space and how much UGC there can be. It is fun, but just will not keep you entertained as long as you think it could.

I came into this excited to fix up some tanks and show them off... instead I could effectively stand in a single spot and take all the rust off the full tank. There is clunky controls and no clear direction. If you like repair sims, stick with something like Car Mechanic Sim instead.
Tank Mechanic Simulator is a game where you, well, be a tank mechanic. At first, the game might seem a bit daunting, but trust me, you'll learn quick, and when you do, the game flow becomes consistent - which is what I love about this game, it's perfect for unwinding due to the low input required for it. If you're bored of just fixing tanks, you can also test them out (after you top up the fluids and restock the ammo!) on the proving grounds, which consist of still and moving targets. With a broad selection of tanks and armoured vehicles from WW2, plus a tank from WW1, you won't run out of things to do that quickly. But if you do, then there's DLCs that go on sale regularly, so look out for those if there's a tank in there that catches your eye. However, this game has a few bugs, most of them don't break the game entirely, like some fluid canisters appearing at the hand crank port when I start the tank. There's also a hilarious lack of detail on some tanks like the Tiger 131, compared to other tanks like one of the Sherman variants, which has a truckload of detail. Out of ten, I rate this game a solid 8/10. Doesn't get boring quick, and great for building a [virtual] tank museum.
i have no idea how to play this but good game
Sehr geiles Spiel, perfekt für ein Mechaniker vom Beruf XD. Ich kann das Spiel nur ans Herz legen, wenn man entspannt vor sich hin Spielen will. Preis/Leistung .... kann man echt nichts sagen.
