Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tamarin Review: A Cute Game Hindered by Frustrating Controls Tamarin, a visually charming action-adventure game available on Steam, instantly grabbed my attention with its adorable protagonist and nostalgic vibes. With its colorful environments and playful character design, the game has all the makings of a lighthearted platformer that’s both fun and visually pleasing. However, while it excels in aesthetics, it struggles in one crucial area: the controls. Cute Character and Beautiful Graphics At first glance, Tamarin is irresistibly cute. You play as a small monkey navigating through vibrant landscapes, battling pesky insects, and exploring a world that’s brimming with colorful flora and fauna. The graphics are stunning, with lush forests, flowing rivers, and detailed enemies that look like they jumped straight out of a retro classic. The resemblance to Jet Force Gemini, especially with its focus on shooting ants, is hard to miss, making it a nostalgic trip for fans of older platformers. Frustrating Controls and Movement Unfortunately, the charm of Tamarin is marred by its clunky controls. Whether using a controller or the keyboard, moving the character and aiming the weapon feels stiff and unrefined. The camera often struggles to keep up with the action, making it hard to accurately aim at enemies or even navigate the terrain smoothly. As someone who loves platformers, the awkward controls were a major letdown, as they make even basic maneuvers feel like a chore rather than an enjoyable challenge. The aiming mechanic, in particular, is disappointing. It’s hard to achieve precision, which can be frustrating during shootouts with ants or when trying to target specific objects. The lack of smoothness in aiming makes combat feel less fluid than it should be, diminishing the potential for fun, fast-paced action. Nostalgia Meets Annoyance While Tamarin clearly aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia, particularly for fans of Jet Force Gemini, it doesn’t quite manage to recreate the magic of that classic. The graphics and theme are spot-on, but the control issues make it hard to fully enjoy the game’s homage to the N64 era. It’s a game that has the heart of a classic but struggles to translate that charm into modern gameplay mechanics. Beautiful, but Hard to Fully Enjoy Despite the gorgeous visuals and appealing world design, the frustrating controls make it tough to fully immerse in the experience. The game’s levels and environments are inviting, and it’s easy to want to explore every corner of this cute and colorful world. However, when the basic act of moving the character becomes a point of frustration, it’s hard to stay engaged for long stretches. Final Thoughts Tamarin is a game that’s hard not to root for. It has an adorable protagonist, beautiful graphics, and a nostalgic concept that should make it a hit with fans of old-school platformers. However, the cumbersome controls and awkward aiming mechanics create a barrier to truly enjoying what the game has to offer. If you’re someone who can overlook clunky controls for the sake of nostalgia and a cute art style, you might still find enjoyment here. But for those who prioritize smooth gameplay and responsive controls, Tamarin may be more frustrating than fun.

Excelent game. This studio deserves our love and support to grow even more. Please buy this game and support the developers, the have great potential.
I like this game very much, running around with the little monkey is a lot of fun, i liked the platforming more than the shooting, but there are different kinds of gameplay in the same game, so it's a very interesting world to explore, quite a unique game and nice music, highly recommended.
Ignore this game. 1. Despite its looks, this is NOT a cozy game. This is a shooter. 2. This is not a good shooter - it's a shooter with no proper mouse aiming. 3. Time between checkpoints is far too big to even bother "learning" the game. You can't even save scum through it, you have do "endure" it. I have already something to endure - job, and I'm paid for it, not paid to do it.
they gave the hedgehog an ainus
I went into this game with a somewhat skeptical perspective, to be completely honest. I was prepared to pay full price for the game. "Jet Force Gemini- Tribals Revenge" is a fair nickname for the game. Tamarin is less hopeless than the tribal NPCs in the original game. While stylistically this game has been heavily nerfed, its art direction is cohesive. The music is inspirational and has a familiar feel. The writing suffers from the world-nerfing and cuteness factor that was imposed insistingly. The values of Chameleon Games are truly represented in the game design, to a fault. In my opinion it takes away from the finesse of Tamarin. While Jet Force Gemini was a 4 protagonist game in the Nintendo 64 era, lending to a different era and overall vibe, the resources have been preserved in the conveyance of this title. A successful upscaling of JFG assets here is clear. The presentation of the game is actually decent for an independent studio. HOWEVER the opportunity to make a name to be taken seriously even in conversation has been lost to an embarrassing degree with Tamarin. The commitment followed to complete the vision is obvious, with enemies being active and "intelligence" relatively scaled to the maneuverability of the monkey for example the beetles can hurt you but adhere to very simple movement sets because Tamarin is acrobatic only to a certain degree. The main character has great move potential and game progression is designed to captivate with a steady ramping of playtime rewarded with an opening up of what is initially a very linear experience. I am supporting this game and this studio for the fact that the spirit of Jet Force Gemini is retained in large part but the direction makes a strange turn that takes itself too seriously while not being serious enough about control and environment choices that don't make good sense. It feels like the game was wholly intended for N64 and its execution on PC leaves an incredible amount to be desired to actually be a spiritual success to what was a bad@$5 title formerly from RARE. ATTN: Chameleon Games PLEASE don't be so casual if especially if you're going to recycle assets because it confuses familiar fans to much dismay which doesn't bode well for your business. I want to love you and this game has passion that is subdued by poor, restrictive design choices. Aiming sensitivity needs adjustability in game. No graphical interface is frustrating. Lack of a map will hinder gameplay scope. It's obvious nearly everything was intentional and executed with 6/10 focus. I could go on as I perceive and discern many nuances and general aspects of Tamarin, but I'd like to give more playtime in before I really pick at the title. I will be revisiting this review for a comprehensive take overall. I strongly encourage a conversation with developers to provide insight into future endeavors and reasonings behind aspects of this title. I don't want to see you fail and this game is dangerously close to hollow at 1.5 hours in.
It would've been way better if the devs had gone for a cartoon style instead, as some others have said, the game looks like an asset flip or one of those "Ocarina of Time Unreal 4" demos. But I'm a sucker for David Wise's OSTs so I stuck it out to the end, and it honestly did get much better in gameolay and level design as it went on. I liked it.
