About
You stumble upon the last Henki - a creature unlike any other, a shapeshifter keeping the world of Taival in balance. Together, you set out across a handcrafted blocky world to recover the shattered fragments of its lost heritage. What you find along the way will change both of you.
Taival is a co-op adventure RPG for up to 4 players where your goal is to find out who destroyed Heartstone of the Henki, restore it to its former glory and bring your companion back to where it belongs. This is a cozy yet mighty adventure you’ve never seen before.
Your Henki companion is the heart of Taival. As you encounter new creatures across the world, Henki can absorb their essence and shift into their form each one bringing a unique set of abilities to battle and exploration. A hulking beast that absorbs damage. A swift mount that scales cliffsides. A cunning predator that strikes from the shadows.
The more of the world you explore, the more forms you unlock. Master new skills and find the combination that fits your playstyle or your party's.
Taival is a handcrafted open world built from the ground up with a charming, voxel-style blocky art style. Multiple seamlessly connected realms each bring their own environments, inhabitants, and secrets from rolling highlands to dense forests and ancient ruins waiting to be uncovered.
Spread across the world are tons of quests with varying lengths. Players can help a farmer figure who stole their barrel of plants (it was a rodent), or they can assist in settling a house ownership disagreement between two goblins. The game being a cozy co-op RPG doesn’t mean the quests are only on the cozy side of things; Players can find themselves fighting a beast on a barbarian camp or doing some pest control on insects of their own size.
Taival is built for playing together. Invite up to 3 friends and journey as a full party each with their own character, companion, and skill tree. What makes Taival's co-op special: you can mix local split-screen and online players in the same session, simultaneously. One friend on the couch, two more joining from across the world all in the same adventure.
When your group faces a pivotal quest decision, everyone gets a say. You will all follow the same dialogue, letting you see each other's cursors and suggested dialogue options.
Taival's progression runs on two tracks that grow in tandem. For your character: unlock abilities, improve your combat skills, and even level up your fishing. For Henki: master new creature forms, unlock mount abilities for faster exploration, and build a companion that feels uniquely yours. The deeper you go, the more the world opens up.
Shapeshifting companion (Henki) - absorb creature forms found throughout the world, each with unique combat and traversal abilities
Handcrafted open world - multiple seamlessly connected biomes with distinct environments, inhabitants, and stories
Up to 4-player co-op - mix local split-screen and online players in the same session, simultaneously
Group quest dialogue - Follow the same quest dialogue and suggest options using your cursor
Charming voxel-style art - a handcrafted blocky world with a warm, inviting visual identity

As someone who backed cube world from the very beginning just to be burned multiple times, This game is a breath of fresh air. in depth skill trees and abilities, a beautiful world to explore, crafting, an interesting pet system, and most importantly PRESENT DEVS. The devs have been active in discord talking to people, fixing bugs, and listening to suggestions. A rare thing to see anymore. The game is still very early, but the few issues I did have the devs patched right away or found the issue to implement in the next patch. 10/10 devs.
Reminds me of an old-school version of cubeworld! In my first hour, I fought some crabs, learned how to fish, and went mining also I rolled about 47 million times There is a skill tree, leveling system, professions, etc. I am interested to see what is to come! Dungeons? Boss fights? legendary fish? Randomly generated loot? WHO KNOWS KEEP ON ROLLIN

:) Reviewvideo: https://youtu.be/T6Crnaf6yAQ ----------------------------------------------- [English version] Taival is one of those games where I actually want to follow a quest – and two hours later, I somehow find myself on the other side of the world because something was glowing in the distance, the compass pointed out something interesting, and I discovered three more things along the way. The combat is fairly basic at the moment, and of course you can still feel the Early Access nature of the game in a few places. But exploring the beautiful voxel world is incredibly fun. There is always something to discover, collect, or simply look at. And then there's the little Henky, who can take on the forms of different animals and gain new abilities in the process. I especially like the potential of the movement skills. Double jumps, air dashes, swimming, and eventually diving gradually open up new ways to explore the huge world. And it really is huge: even now, you can already get a sense of just how much room there is for new locations, quests, and adventures. After around six to seven hours, I had finished the currently available main quest content and most of the side quests – and I still kept wandering around the world afterwards simply because I wanted to know what was waiting beyond the next hill. Taival is relaxing, charming, and scratches exactly the right exploration itch for me. If the Early Access development consistently builds on the foundation that's already here, I'll happily spend many more hours in this world. Highly recommended for anyone who loves getting completely sidetracked. :)
Pixel graphics, but with RTX on. This is a really good survival game that you can play with friends. The coolest feature is that it supports co-op on a single screen, just like back in the day on retro consoles. There’s a ton of content here, the open world is literally packed with resources, quests, and adventures. Plus, the beautiful visuals are a real treat for the eyes. If you’re looking for a cozy way to spend an evening, this is an absolute musthave:3
If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a thumbsup;)
The further - The better♥️

While the game might have launched in a really rough state, it only took the devs a single day to iron out most of the game-breaking issues, which surely shows a bright future for Taival. There are lots of things to love about the game. Combat and exploration feels a lot like in Cube World, while the quests and progression are more akin to what you would see in Skyrim. So far the developers have taken everything the community suggested to heart, so you can be sure they won't let this potential go to waste.
Just a cute cat passing through, please pet him on your way down the reviews. /> フ | _ _ l /`ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__) \二つ Game feels like Cube world Alpha, can't wait to see what the guys are doin with the game in the future
Have you been longing for a game like Cube World? Then you are in the right place! The game is set in a beautiful, handcrafted fantasy world filled with exciting places and creatures like Skyrim. Personally, I really like the voxel graphics, as they create a unique charm. You explore the world with your unique Henki companion, who can unlock extra features as you progress. This gives you a constant sense of progression and special opportunities to interact with the world. There are already lots of quests and a solid main story. There are also collectibles that can reward you with bonuses. I had the honor of being part of the playtest and early demo version, and I was able to see how much the game has grown over time! The developers are doing their best to fix every bug you might discover and are really quick to respond to reports and fix these issues, while working closely with the community. For an Early Access title, this game already feels very promising, with a solid foundation and the potential to become a great game to sink countless hours into! I also want to address some of the negative reviews I found here that complain about the game having some bugs. Some people expect the game to already be 100% polished and completely bug free. However, that is not what Early Access is meant for! Especially not in the early days. Please don't let these reviews deter you from trying the game out for yourself. I encourage everyone to experience the game firsthand and form their own opinion. Rating 11/10
прикольная игрушка, моментами даже забавная, я пока её ещё полностью не прочувствовал, но мне уже понравилось. Единственное что огорчает это то что русского языка нет и париться приходится больше обычного
I like it! I played with my boys (12 years old) and we have lots of fun. World is fun to explore! And graphics are moody!
I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly this game runs on my wreck of a laptop! My setup isn't ideal for gaming so I'm really happy that it doesn't have any significant lag so far. Obviously the smoothest experience requires a better setup lol. I would definitely recommend this game to those who love voxel & adventure/exploration games. The world is absolutely stunning. Anywhere I go, a new adventure and eye candy awaits. Questing is fun and I love the little Henki companion and the idea of taming and collecting different creature forms. A special thanks for the split screen and online combo, I have a vast friend group from around the world and this makes playing together seamless. The combat is beginner-friendly which is a huge plus as a casual gamer. Keep in mind that this is an early access game, so some bugs can be expected, but the devs handle the feedback and bug reports on Discord exceptionally well, first hotfix arrived within 24 hours. You can clearly see they care about this game and the community!
