Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really wanted to like this game, but I can't because it was a lackluster to say the least. it's like the authors wanted to cramp two different games, narratives and messages along with the stories in one small package. If you have an established path, just follow it till the end. They should've had the first part of the game extended and logically finished, but instead we got what we got. Authors tried to chase after two rabbits, and in the end lost both of them.
Where to start, with this game? I will be up-front that what many of the other reviewers are saying is somewhat true: the game takes a very unexpected turn and leaves you with far, far too many questions by the end, but there's a reason for that: This was supposed to be the first game in a series, not standalone. It was not written or produced to be an open-and-closed book, there was supposed to be a very complex part 2, and it takes very little research about Egg Nut to find that out. The prologues, which came out sometime later, intended to be a bit of filler between the parts of the series, go a very long way towards explaining why the story took the turn it did in the first place. This was to all appearances a planned twist, not a rush-job. So don't approach it like a standalone story. All of this unfortunately is for naught as the studio closed sometime last year and I can't help but feel a little robbed by knowing that I will in all likelihood never see the continuation (and conclusion?) of this story, and that hurts most because I actually got invested before learning about that. So, despite the cliffhanger that will never be resolved, what was good about this game? Well, it's essentially a point-and-click old-school adventure, no particularly innovated gameplay design, but I will be clear to everyone who thinks otherwise: a game doesn't have to innovate on its formula to be good. Sometimes the media is already well-built, just use that. And this game does. The puzzles are fun, especially in the first couple acts, and the characters are in fact relatable. No, you don't need to know every tiny aspect of a character for them to be multifaceted, thank you. What you need for that is for the character to show it in their behavior and speech and reflect it in their designs, and these characters do that, with few exceptions. The writing is good. The dialogue is good. The details in the surroundings are good. The art is just gorgeous. The music drives the mood like a tenured chauffer. All of it is very well synchronized. While not every character is the most compelling, the main character is plenty sympathetic, and a very 'ordinary person in an extraordinary situation' type of figure, just as a story that claims itself as noir should be. There are some shaky bits to the plot, but that's far from abnormal, but those pieces can also have reasonable explanations to them that the audience just isn't shown. Not that hard to connect the dots. Because I allowed myself the investment in the characters, this game did something that not a lot of games manage to do: it made me feel something about it. Games that manage to evoke an emotional response from me (apart from frustration, indignation, or rage) are generally good games. Or at least have a good story to them. And given that this is practically a novel, that would mean this game is good at what it's trying to do. I certainly recommend playing this with its companion prologues game, however, as it will help patch the holes you might feel from the abrupt twist and the equally abrupt ending to this game. It's not too hard to see where the story was going and I can even imagine the general plot that was coming, but am disappointed all the same that I won't get to see it. In short: I recommend this game for what's there, in spite of what isn't. If you can't handle the suspense of a trilogy missing the third volume, you may want to avoid it. But if you want something to think about and don't mind not having all the answers, this title can scratch an itch for an afternoon or two. I for one will be replaying it soon enough to see more details and possibilities I missed the first time around.
Tales Noir starts off as a pretty typical detective mystery, but slowly turns into a much darker and more gripping sci-fi story. I really enjoyed playing it, especially the characters, music, and pixel art, and it reminded me quite a bit of Tales of the Neon Sea, which is one of my favourite games. I liked how the story gradually revealed its darker side, although the ending felt a little abrupt and I really wish there had been more than one ending, especially with some more hopeful outcomes for the characters and the world they live in.
