Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
it's been 30 odd years since i played this and it is still as fun and intricate as it was back then. wish they would remaster march of the black queen but hey it is what it is
Tactics Ogre Reborn is simply very very good. If you like the FFT series it's a must to have. Good story and great fun to play.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Premise: Final Fantasy Tactics was my very first game, so I'm extremely biased. I really wanted to love Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and in many ways, I do(n't). But here’s what stood out to me after 4.2 hours:

Visuals: These games don’t need remakes for their visuals; it’s everything around them that needs refining. The smoothed-out sprites feel odd and lose their charm; maybe it’s the kind of style that works better on a small screen, but even then, it didn’t resonate with me.
Audio: The music is fine, but not unforgettable. The English voice acting, however, felt way too stiff and mechanical. Switched to Japanese within minutes. Big improvement.
Gameplay: The union cap and repetitive Training battles really slow the momentum. Having to grind the same map over and over, WITH the leveling cap, is easily the most tedious part so far. The challenge is fair, but the grind undercuts it. The Floating/Tarot card system often feels like dead weight rather than a strategic element.
Story: The narrative is one of the game’s strongest assets. It’s compelling, grounded in political conflict and war rather than pure fantasy — though the latter is still present. It’s got depth, and I’m genuinely curious to see where it goes.
Classes: Coming from FFT, I miss cross-class builds and deeper job progression, but the “type advantage” system adds a nice layer of strategy. I’m torn on the casters: limiting mages to a few spells is annoying, but I do like the slow MP build-up mechanic; it's interesting and thematically fitting — it’s like your mage needs time to slowly speak the spell aloud. It’s a small thing, but I appreciated it.
UI & Accessibility: The UI feels slightly clunky. I had to enable HP bars to avoid losing enemies in the background. A persistent grid toggle or more visibility options would help a ton. No difficulty settings either, which would’ve been nice.
Final Verdict: A fascinating tactical RPG with a great story and some clever mechanics, buried under slow pacing and dated design choices. It’s not a bad game — just one that asks for a bit more patience than I expected.
I was introduced to this game with Ogre Battle 64, and ding dang dong is this one hard. Lots of training is required in game.
Good game
If you like turn tactics this is right up your ally
Its a slow, ugly auto battler.
