About
SWAT Commander: Prologue is the FREE introductory version of our team tactical shooter and does not reflect the final version of the game. Check out its full version's page for a description of its features!
In the prologue, you face the challenges of our second mission – Hot Reception. Team up with your friends in a SWAT squad or go in solo to investigate an auto shop where a violent shootout between rival gangs took place. Secure any evidence of criminal activity, bring the perpetrators to justice, and restore order!

Make yourself familiar with the mission's briefing and find out what dangers emerged to threaten innocent civilians – you're about to face them yourself. Equip your SWAT operative accordingly with a selection of rifles, handguns, armors, and tactical gear to tackle the belligerent gangs.

Create a multiplayer lobby to invite other players or go into the mission solo or join the lobby of another SWAT commander. Coordinate and discuss your mission plan down to the equipment each of you will be bringing or the entry point you'll be choosing.

Select one of the three available game modes to determine the type of mission you'll be embarking on – high-risk warrant, barricaded suspect, and bomb threat. Your operations' goals can change between bringing down dangerous suspects, neutralizing entrenched criminals, and defusing an explosive device.

Enter the Bernard Tire & Auto Center to begin the SWAT intervention. Secure your mission objectives and earn an evaluation of your performance. Remember to keep your eyes open and use every tactical advantage you can think of. Defend the innocents and bring the perps to justice!

SWAT Commander: Prologue is a free standalone introduction to the tactical shooter currently in development by Red Mountain Games and Ritual Interactive, with Ritual Interactive serving as the publisher. Instead of delivering a brief demonstration with little substance, the prologue offers players a meaningful look at the game's core mechanics and overall direction. It immediately establishes its identity as a methodical law enforcement simulation where every decision matters, placing players in the middle of a dangerous operation involving heavily armed gang members occupying an automotive repair facility. The objective is not simply to eliminate enemies but to execute a professional operation that prioritizes public safety, proper procedure, and tactical efficiency. What makes the experience stand out is its commitment to planning before action. Players begin by reviewing mission briefings, assessing the situation, and selecting appropriate equipment for the task ahead. Choosing the right weapons, protective gear, and tactical tools becomes an important part of the mission rather than a cosmetic feature. Once deployed, success depends on careful room clearing, maintaining awareness of civilian locations, and responding appropriately to hostile threats. The game encourages disciplined movement and calculated decision-making, rewarding players who approach each encounter with patience instead of rushing into dangerous situations. The gameplay also emphasizes flexibility through both solo and cooperative play. Those who prefer operating independently can complete missions alone, relying entirely on their own tactical judgment. However, the cooperative mode is where the experience has the greatest potential, allowing players to form squads, discuss strategies, coordinate entry points, and communicate throughout every stage of an operation. Effective teamwork becomes just as valuable as accurate shooting, creating a rewarding experience for groups that enjoy realistic tactical coordination. This emphasis on cooperation gives each mission greater depth, as even familiar objectives can unfold differently depending on team communication and planning. Mission variety is another promising feature highlighted by the prologue. Rather than repeating identical firefights, players encounter different types of law enforcement scenarios, including serving high-risk warrants, dealing with barricaded suspects, and responding to bomb threats. Each situation introduces unique priorities that require players to adapt their approach instead of relying on a single strategy. Combined with objectives such as protecting civilians, securing evidence, and arresting suspects whenever possible, these scenarios reinforce the game's focus on authentic SWAT procedures instead of simple action-oriented gameplay. The presentation complements the tactical experience with realistic environmental design and authentic equipment. The industrial setting feels believable, while the detailed weapon models, tactical gear, and character animations contribute to immersion without becoming overly flashy. Audio design also plays an important role, as weapon fire, environmental sounds, and mission communications help create constant tension throughout each operation. Every room entered carries uncertainty, encouraging players to stay alert and carefully evaluate potential threats before making their next move. As expected from a prologue, the available content is limited compared to what the complete game aims to deliver. Players should view it as a preview rather than a fully featured tactical shooter. Even so, it succeeds in demonstrating the foundation of a project that values realism, teamwork, and thoughtful gameplay over nonstop action. Fans of slower-paced tactical shooters that reward planning, communication, and disciplined execution will likely find plenty to appreciate, while newcomers can use the prologue to determine whether this style of gameplay suits their preferences before investing in the full release.
