Suzerain is one of the best-written narrative games I’ve ever played. The characters are memorable, the dialogue feels sharp and human, and the emotional heights in the later part of the story hit with real force. By the time the pressure of governing starts closing in from every direction, the choices stop feeling like mere “game choices” and start feeling like genuine life or death decisions. This is absolutely the kind of game you need to play at least twice. The first run should be blind, and you will almost certainly fail in some spectacular fashion, embrace this and enjoy an excellent political tragedy. Then do a second run with a guide and steer Sordland toward the bright future of your choice: it will make you feel better about your trainwreck of a first run. What truly elevates Suzerain, in my opinion, is its spectacular world-building. The political landscape feels alive: clashing ideologies, old wars, economic struggles, and generations of historical grievances echoing real-world politics. Every faction believes they are in the right, every reform has proponents and enemies, and every compromise carries a cost. The parallels to real-world history are not hard to spot, but that layered history gives the world of Suzerain a type of realism that most fictional settings never quite achieve. My own story ended with President Rayne sitting alone in the presidential office, calmly looking in the mirror and fixing his tie before sitting behind his desk and putting a service revolver to his head as the first enemy soldier came through the door: 10/10 do recommend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Played this and the Rizia DLC. It's impossible to overstate my satisfaciton with an 18 BRL game. In short terms, it's based. I played what would be perhaps considered the most BORING THING to be EVER DONE in ANY POLITICAL GAME and played a monstrous centrist for Anton Rayne- The balance of staying on the middle, allying with as many as possible, going through a depression as nothing I did was strong enough to uplift us without absolutely ravaging the nation- And in the end my campaigning managed to re-elect me so that I could slowly recoup the economic losses and enjoy the growth that we'd experience if the timeline continued. It felt like a VERY stressful victory that indeed put strain on the family life of Anton Rayne, and too represented WELL the scale of time that a common Democracy works on to see good results. TL;DR, absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ based, never played any "political" game that comes close to being this good without a shadow of a doubt, no themes are downplayed nor it's positive and negative effects whichever they are. 8/10 I expect to buy every single new game from this Dev from now on. I'm ecstatic I bought it and if I knew I'd one day buy this game, but needed to wait until the year of our Nur 2026, I'd have long died of a heart attack from anxiety and stress. (Also runs on Archlinux btw)
I'm not a fan of visual novels but this one I found really interesting.

Good!
Basically a choose your own adventure book in an alternative world country during the cold war. After playing it for two evenings I can say I love it. I haven't finished half of the base game, but already bought the DLC because I know I want more.
