About
Step into a world where fears become reality — and you are not just a witness, but a participant in the nightmare.
Suspense: Madman's Dream is a narrative-driven psychological horror inspired by real manifestations of mental disorders. Here, imagination and delusion are not fantasies — they are ways of existing.
Take on the roles of observer, creator, and madman — all at once. Explore a hospital, a magical forest, and a 1950s English house through the eyes of those whose minds are on the brink. Feel their world collapse: walls distort, memories blur, and shadows come to life.
Each environment is a reflection of the character’s inner world. Everything you see is rooted in reality — but filtered through a fractured, distorted mind. Piece together fragments of the story, examine the details, and find meaning in the chaos to understand what truly happened.
And maybe — just maybe — you'll answer the question:
Can anyone truly help a mind that's falling apart?
Gameplay time: 1–2 hours.
Voice-Controlled Gameplay:
Use your voice to interact with the world, uncover hidden elements, and solve unconventional puzzles.
Deep Psychological Narrative:
Multiple character stories — shaped by mental disorders and distorted perceptions of reality — intertwine into one dark and unsettling journey.
Challenging Puzzles and Disturbing Environments:
Each location is filled with meaning, symbolism, and detail that can either guide you toward the truth… or pull you deeper into confusion.
Shifting Spaces and Surreal Horror:
The world constantly transforms: scenes take on a psychedelic quality, and while nothing is truly real — the pain it causes the characters is.
A Scientific and Artistic Exploration of Psychosis:
The game presents an interpretation of schizophrenia based on real symptoms and lived experiences — without clichés or supernatural tropes.
Hi everyone. I'm already flattered if you're reading this. My name is Oscar. I'm a former doctor, and I've had the experience of working with people suffering from psychiatric disorders in a mental hospital, including in the forensic psychiatry department, where individuals who committed terrible acts due to their illnesses are treated.
I want you to understand how difficult this is. With mental disorders, people often don't even realize the severity of their condition. Some of the stories of the mentally ill amazed me deeply. Some of them have drifted so far from reality that their stories resembled science fiction movies or games.
Some elements may seem illogical from a gaming perspective, but believe me, they are logical if you refer to psychiatric textbooks.
Enjoy the game!

Хорророк на вечерок с вкраплениями пазл механик, не слишком напрягающий саунд игры ,брать лишь от скуки и по скидке, а так-сойдёт.
EDIT - The game has been updated. I've been replaying it. Will offer my thoughts after I finish it. Again... EDIT - I finished the game again. Much improvement over the initial release. Noticeable difference. Honestly. The story is good. Impactful. It's worth checking out. Leaving my original review though. This game was like swallowing a horse pill and washing it down with broken glass. I applaud the developers efforts in making this. Yet I had so many problems during my play-through that were non existent in the demo. I have no idea what went wrong. Every time I went to play it today something else would happen. Objects floating in the air. Then I would leave the room, come back and they were gone. (Happened with the statue puzzle in the beginning and it was one of the statues. ) The mouse icon and dismiss overlay were stuck on my screen all the way up to the first save where that crow was. I didn't use the voice mechanic. Pressing G only worked once and that was first time. Second time in an area it wouldn't even register. So I then opted to try voice and the microphone/headset it was trying to connect to wasn't even on. So I did a refresh and it still would not work or show the correct one. To top this off. I had to reload certain parts of the game or start completely over because of issues I had with the game locking up in the beginning. Overall. I'd say buy at your own risk. Maybe you won't have the problems I did. Hell. Maybe it was part of the game? LOL... Graphically it was good. It ran good. A lot of potential here. 5/10

游戏很不错 但是很多bug 经常拿着东西就卡在那里不动了,电风扇对话也卡住了各种死档bug和屏幕显示bug 最过分的事我玩了半天 最后退出游戏再进是没有保存的
New Review: I don't know what the dev was thinking, but the recent changes are horrible. Suddenly the game is super laggy. They changed the voice lines, which they were corny but amusing, now they are boring Old review: This game deserves massive props simply for the singing note at the beginning of the game. It is AI gen music and vocals? Yah probably, but it is damn good, and I don't think I've seen a single other video game that implemented this idea. This is a perfect example of where AI can dramatically improve a game in a 100% positive direction with zero negative. Imagine all notes singing to you rather than just reading or VA reading it. I also might add that the lyrics themselves are very good, despite the dev not being a native English speaker. Anyone trying to discredit this implement has no idea now truly amazing it is.
I was super excited for this game after playing the demo. It's not full of all of the overused assets that most indie horror games use, and it runs great, which is nice to see after so many terribly optimized UE games have been plaguing the horror market. It has about any setting you could hope for. The story is good too. It's deep, involves heavy subject matter and leaves you scratching your head a bit without being too confusing. I know everyone doesn't have the same taste as me, but this game checked off almost everything I ask for in horror games. My only complaint is that it isn't longer. It took me about an hour, but I was able to move through a bit of it petty fast since I already played the demo.
+ lots of interaction with objects + extraneous feeling + gloomy atmosphere + realistic graphics anomalies... sometimes it's scary, but often annoying. the situation is similar with puzzles. dude, the interior of this house can be viewed forever! doors? where without them :) **use headphones and turn off the lights at night to achieve total immersion**.
Suspense: Madman's Dreams is both intriguing and disappointing – I most certainly respect it for trying something slightly different, but everything it did could’ve been done so much better, if I’m being honest. The game is disastrously buggy, its puzzles are simple and repetitive (consisting mostly of finding number combinations for padlocks), and the microphone gimmick is used only once or twice before being completely dropped and forgotten. At best, the game takes an hour to beat at a very leisurely pace, so I wasn’t really expecting too much complexity, but still. There are a few genuinely impressive bits that will make you go “what the...” on several occasions, and overall, the project is certainly more original than the average jump scare-riddled mess you can find on Steam, but... it feels more like a tech demo. A proof of concept. An extremely brief experience with some good ideas that could make for a potentially compelling game if it was longer and more fleshed out – but in its present state, it offers disappointingly little. It’s also worth noting that the free demo contains a good 70% of the whole game, so if you feel like giving it a shot, maybe download that first and then decide if you want to drop some cash for the remaining 15-20 minutes. Yes, there was one huge mistake on the release But now I see it's been solved. the game is ideologically complex, but it's something fresh and definitely worth a place!
un jeu d'horreur intéressant je recommande pour voir mon gameplay c'est ici https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFHA-bc31NbpDUXsEbABIl5h4smsahyim&si=wricR8xTZNRt64CV
Atmosphere is amazing, the story itself was truly unexpected. An absolute treat for sure.
