Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 1 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm one of those people who likes the idea of survival crafting games, but then completely hates the grind in these kind of games. Survival: Fountain of Youth has excellent pacing and progression. There is always a new crafting recipe to unlock, a new place to explore with your new tools or a new challenge to overcome. It's never really about grinding in this game, it's a bit more like a metroidvania where you get a tool to get an ingredient from a new place to get a new boat to go to a new place yada yada. Like if you knew the game really well I think you can skip a lot of it as it's mostly soft checks, but as a casual player it's a lot of fun to step through the progression. A lot of people don't like the heavy menu use, and yeah I get it. I don't mind menus as long as they are clear and easy to use, which is the case here, but don't expect to see clean animations for cutting trees or harvesting plants/animals. It's got a little thought behind the menus, in that a lot of your choices at any time will be "how much energy and tool durability can I afford to lose to get this thing right now?". Personally, I think this gameplay becomes a little more interesting in the mid game than the early game and is probably why a lot of people get put off by it. For example, I see a lot of people complain about the fire starting menu, and it takes so long. Which is a valid complaint. At the start it takes over an hour to start the fire and has a good chance of failure. If you know what you're doing, you can get tinder and tools to bring this down to 100% and 4 minutes straight away, but you need to find the right ingredients and you might not find them for a few hours in game, having you stuck with the crappy fire starting for ages. Likewise cooking, early game you spend a lot of time cooking to not keel over dead. But you soon get more skills/perks to stop starving so much and better food that keeps for longer so you can batch cook and just eat out a chest. I'm not complete the game yet, I'm probably still mid game! But I'm having a lot of fun. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the idea of a play-at-your-own-pace survival crafting game with no grind and isn't put off by the menus for everything.
Fantastic game, so good I nostalgically remember it from time to time and restart from scratch!
I enjoy the first person survival genre and have played almost all games of this type on the market. So when this game came up on sale, i came in very skeptical. FPS Survival is a very crowded space, what could this game possibly come up with? After playing for 20 hours? quite a bit actually. It's rather fun and here's why. Good survival mechanics: I saw many reviews comparing this to green hell or the forest or the long dark, etc. I see the point, but would disagree. the game fundamentally is a lot more chill and relaxed. yes, there is pressure to survive and literally everything outside your base is trying to kill you, but many game mechanics help you solve survival issues through technology. in this regard, S:FoY is the most like atlas, and like ark without dinosaurs or sengoku dynasty without townsfolk. Great, so why not play those other games? Well Paced: This game unlocks technologies very naturally with a smooth difficulty curve. I dare say that it may even be slightly too generous (though i've only played on normal). you can easily die in this game if you're not prepared, but i like how the game emphasizes being prepared - you need to spend time and effort building up resources and technology to unlock areas with new content. however, unlike ark or pal world, i felt each stage was just slightly out of reach and didn't require endless hours of grinding to achieve. Decent story: finally, i think the story in this game was done well. it's not overpowering causing the gameplay to be linear. yet at the same time, it was interesting enough for me to go out of my way to try and figure out the story. sure the devs decided to sacrifice some plausibility in the plot to accommodate the game fun, but i think it was a good move. all in all, i'm 20 hours into this game and still thoroughly enjoying it. i think there's enough content in a novel enough combination that old veterans in this genre would enjoy it. if you're new to fps survival, i think this game will challenge you and stretch you to plan, to strategize you moves to maximize your chances of survival. if you really do enjoy this type of gameplay, i'd suggest you move onto atlas if you enjoy more the combat elements, or green hell / long dark if you enjoy surviving against the elements
Still not finished the game, but 60h into it and enjoying the game a lot. As a big fan of Valheim and Icarus this FoY has high focus on the survial part with nice story to back it up. Makes you actually plan the day and set goals for moving forward - planning is important. Food, water, medicine, sleep all has importance and you have to spend a lot of time collecting resources and slowly building a home base to grow. With 60% off on summer sale I would absolutly reccomend this game if you like survival games with story.
Still needs to cook some more. Movement and combat are pretty barebones and slow.
