Neat concept, but I can't recommend this over other roguelites (Most of which are cheaper and feel more feature complete). I actually like the concept of the story a lot. Combat is mixed with it either feeling great or like a unity flip (Melee feels awful, I just completely skip it). Cover system makes no sense, it doesn't work most of the time and you stick to objects making navigation annoying. Objectives are completely unfun and feel like a slog to get through. The indication for taking damage is nonexistant/hardly noticeable. Online doesn't exist and the cut scenes and visuals look great at first but tank the further in a run you get, with it looking more bland or losing the overall charm. It is nice that it did fully release but I still can hardly find a large reason to play this other than for example: Gunfire Reborn, Roboquest, Risk of Rain 2, etc. I do wish the best and hope that this gets updated more, but at $25 I can only recommend you maybe get this on sale or skip it.

A reasonably engaging experience that provides an enjoyable, although not especially deep, challenge. The core gameplay system feels intuitive and compelling to interact with. The flow of fighting swarms of enemies while constantly repositioning to avoid damage works out quite well, aside from randomly getting stuck on bits of terrain. The weapons and powers all feel fine, although the melee seems rigid and looks awkward at times. The game has a relatively stable level of challenge to it, demanding constant attention from the player without necessitating too much trial-and-error to survive and advance. There is a decent amount of variety in the character progression, unlocks, powers and weapons. The enemies, bosses, objectives and areas are more limited by comparison; but still have enough diversity to be tolerable throughout the core experience. The game definitely has a clear foundation for expanding more on its systems, but the limited amount of content currently available limits the replayability in turn. Which is understandable given the lack of a large audience to fund such. The presentation is okay but not especially interesting. The visuals look fine, the music is forgettable but still fine, the dialogue is amusing but somewhat repetitious and the story mostly just exists to justify the gameplay; and does not have much compelling depth beyond that. In general the presentation is adequate but the gameplay is what primarily stands out as making the experience enjoyable. Although not deep enough to have much replayability, the initial experience is compelling enough to be satisfactory on its own. But the game lacks any outstanding elements to make it memorable beyond that. Coop, rougelike shooter best played with friends.
Amazing game. I can't remember any game that made me play it so often after Dying Light! There are some adjustments that could improve the game though. -For instance: Bosses are so absurd sometimes that they can travel without warning. It would be better If players had a passive skill to detect bosses before they launch at us, Like a Signal?! -You could make immunity after death for a short time. Cuz I am reviving in the middle of the enemies that kill me right away. -It would be good if we had one more skill. -Also shield opacity is too dense. I can't see enemies when I have 2 shields. Please fix it as It is easy to change and will be so helpful.
