Super Pilot

I don't really care for F-Zero. It's okay, and only ok. This game copies a lot of it's flaws, but with a weaker aesthetic. The track editor is super tight though, and my young son loves it for that reason.

It's F-Zero on PC with a track building option. While not as graphically impressive as games like "redout" it captures a much more F-Zero like feel than Wipeout or similar. The gameplay maintains a "simple yet deep" approach where you don't need to swing out various parts of your ship to make a turn, but mastering the mechanics it does have (drifting and boost management for the most part) will help you significantly. Got it for $1 on Fanatical and it's been well worth every cent so far.

More Mario Kart than F-Zero in terms of moment-to-moment gameplay, but straddles the line effectively enough that fans of both series will find plenty to enjoy. Bonus points for a powerful track editor that, while not entirely intuitive, can create some really fun level designs if you put in the time to learn it.

It's like playing F-Zero X and even has custom track creator.

J'aimerais que le petit engouement autour d'Aero GPX se dirige davantage vers Super Pilot où l'amour de F-Zero et GX se ressent bien plus profondément encore. Le feeling est juste divin, les dérapages jouissifs, les circuits simples mais faits avec amour et la progression est gérée. On se concentre sur le pilotage, pas de décollage non voulus, pas d'attaque intempestives. Il ne manque en fait qu'une DA forte et les têtes des concurrents (comme le fait très bien Aero GPX). Mais le feeling de Super Pilot est vraiment remarquable, et en prime, il y a un éditeur de circuit de malade et un classement très bien fichu. Voilà, je n'ai jamais rien commenté sur Steam mais là, ça devait être fait.
