One Fetch Quest After Another

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Nice game. Much bigger than u tought. Could have some improvements, but still a nice game.
give me my 2 euros back

For me this game hinges right between recommending it and not at a solid 5/10, but I will give it a 0.5 towards recommending it just because you can commit arson by taking a torch and burning all trees and bushes you planted on your island. But why is so divisive? Well, the game grows to be a shallow time waster, drowned with narrative fillers via tedious fetch quests, meaningless exploration, shallow production/farming system and poor gameplay directions. I will start with the positives cuz they are easy to cover. The art style is nice, it has that cartoony look to it, especially the animated cutscenes and the loading screens pictures. Characters are interesting, most of those you interact with have unique designs and if you get to know them, they have interesting backstories. Controls are fluid enough with the exception of diving, it also has endless running, with stamina being shared by every activity you do (ofc heavy tasks like mining drain it more). The story is alright, it is one of those environment saving ones, where a bunch of evil ppl want to lay waste of the world you live. Anyway, that is about it for the good stuff, now onto the negatives. Starting off with the main complain, the fetch quests. After playing this game start to finish and completing almost all quests, I can say, the neg reviews are right, it is filled to a brim with tedious fetch quests. What is even worse is the fact that most of these quests do not add anything to the characters or story, most of the time only the last quests they give you tell parts of the characters story, everything else barely adds anything. Second worst thing is that those quests are given by the same NPCs, so get used to seeing their faces a lot. You are basically treated like an errand girl (since the MC is a girl), some NPCs straight out tell you “Don’t you got an errand to run” or “I got an errand for you”, and the MC does not help either, she even says “I like running errands”, she is way too eager to please everyone, to the point where NPCs just take advantage of free child labor since a lot of these quests don’t even pay anything. And speaking of the same NPCs, this leads nicely into the next point, meaningless exploration. Mara, is divided into a grid, where each square is an island. The more you progress in the story the more squares you will unlock. Now, there is only 2 islands you should care about, your home one and the only one with a town with is north of your island. The others are less important while many more only serve as collecting items for those fetch quests, nothing more. And very few have absolutely no purpose whatsoever. Ok, so, the home island is self-explanatory, this is your base so ofc is important. The island up N from your home has the only town/city among all the rest of the islands, this is where you will find most NPCs. The less important islands are those where you can find the pirates roaming around on their boats. Those pirates will be the only other quest givers (interactive NPCs) you will find, and they are annoying as hell, because sometimes they patrol between different islands so you gotta hunt them down, fortunately they do tend to stick most of the time to 1 island. They never set foot on land so only expect them to rush after them in your boat. The only exception to this is an island in the south which has only 1 NPC you can interact with, this will be the only land-based one outside the town island. As for the rest, they serve nothing more to you apart for certain quest items to be grabbed and then you can forget they exist. There are some useful ones, like the ones filled with ore for you to mine, but apart from that, nothing. Worse, some islands serve no purpose whatsoever, they are just decorations. But those islands clearly have been made to serve a purpose. There is one with a haunted tree, there is an abandoned marine base, there is a pirate stronghold but you can never set foot on it, there are abandoned/broken alien stations, etc… none of these have any interactive NPC or serve nothing more besides grabbing quest items. This is my point, the world is built, but it has no purpose. They (devs) could’ve scattered some NPCs, some unique treasures, unique plants, give those islands some meaning, but no, instead everything is concentrated around 2 islands and a bunch of roaming pirates. And this is why I think meaningless exploration is the right words for this. Now for the production systems, and I am incorporating in this: crops farming, raise animals and plant trees/bushes. First of all, DO NOT expect the depth of games like harvest moon or stardew valley. In this game there are no seasons, there is no animal grooming, you cannot obtain seeds from crops. This game keeps things simple. Prepare patches of land from crops (you gotta do this only once), plant seeds, and optional is to water them or fertilize (this just speeds up growth, you can just leave em dry and still get results). For the animals; rescue them from the sea, bring them to your home, feed them, and they produce goods (exception is for the bees for which you gotta buy a queen bee after each production of honey). For trees and bushes, all you gotta do is procure seeds or fruits and plant them. Ok, so here is the problem, while farming crops and livestock are stable enough the real issue is when it comes to trees/bushes. They barely produce fruits, with the most productive ones being oranges, and some do not seem to grow a single fruit, for example a raspberry bush, I never saw one of those bushes produce anything in 20 hours of playtime, I have no idea if they are bugged or they are supposed to not grow anything, but I can say this is a broken system. Also why the heck burning a bush hold 1 charcoal the same as a full grown pine tree? And another annoying thing are the chickens. They tend to walk around your crops, so you end up interacting/feeding them instead of planting/harvesting the crops (since there is only 1 button for both those interactions), I think I rescued too many, I wish there was a way to just kill em or hold them out. Another note for the production systems; you don’t even need them apart for quests related objectives. Sure food helps to replenish the stamina, but you can just do that with some fruits, you don’t even need to dive deep into the cooking mechanic. Final point, poor gameplay directions. What I mean by this is that the game does a poor job communicating or guiding the players. An example is right as you start to sail, the game doesn’t tell you to follow the compass UI to go north, you gotta figure out for yourself. Next is a strange case, sometimes I had to opportunity to fast travel to different islands by using the world map, well other times that option was gone for some reason, and to make it more painful the game does not tell you when this feature becomes available. Regarding world map, sometimes quests objectives were marked on other islands that it should’ve been. I mentioned arson at the start, well, the game does not tell you that you can obtain charcoal by burning your own stuff. Last quest, in the epilogue, it cannot be finished; it is called “Take care of Mara” and it is an endless quest, but the game does not tell you so (or mark it) and you end up with a quest you cannot finish. The game also does not tell you that you can break hives to get larvae to use as bait to catch certain fish for a quest. They might seem like little things, but those little things pile up to the point where it makes you look up for guides/clues. There are plenty of things to complain like the day-night cycles which pass like pretty much if you are in a room and turn on/off the lights, that is how abrupt it is. Then the ending feels rushed out, there is a cut-scene and that’s it, your MC waked up in the epilogue which consists of, guess what, a couple more fetch quests and free roam. Anyway, the devs should’ve make the world have more purpose, make
