About

Subway Builder is a hyperrealistic transit simulation game built using live data from US, UK, Irish, French, and Japanese cities.
Real-World Passenger Simulation
Millions of commuters are generated from Census and Redistricter data and simulated using the same pathfinding algorithms you use on your phone. Your job is to design a route network that gets the most people to their destination as fast as possible. Juggle station placement, transfer dynamics, and train frequency to maximize ridership.
In-Depth Analysis
Explore how individual commuters weigh tradeoffs between wait times, transfers, income distribution, delays, and more, to pick their commute. Understand which routes, stations, and trains your commuters take and use that information to optimize your network.
You must also find the right balance between cost and time using this analysis. Too many trains on a line or an overcrowded station may cause delays or disruptions.
Authentic Data
The US, UK, Ireland, France, and Japanese census records home and workplace locations. The game generates millions of commuters with homes from that and then uses a distance-based gravity model to assign them all workplaces. They're also assigned times to leave to/from work in a distribution similar to real life. Please note that a broadband connection is required to maintain the real data used by the game.
This decision is then made based on how long each commute method takes, how much it costs, and the value of their time (different commuters can have different incomes).
If they decide to take the subway you can follow their commute (and thousands of others simultaneously) as they get to work. If a train is delayed or cancelled, it will affect their commute and future commuters will take that into account.
College and airport commuters are also simulated and they behave differently since they have different income distributions and commuting times. Federal data is used for college student counts and FAA data for airports.
Current cities in Subway Builder include: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St Louis, and Washington in the US. Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Manchester, and Newcastle in the UK. Paris, Marseille, Lyon, in France. Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Sendai, Hiroshima, and Nagoya in Japan, and Dublin in Ireland.

kinda like it, but definitely needs more cities across the world
very good game like Cities Skylines2.
Just don't know why we need to download the map which only stand for some 60MB,that could easily fit offline game but I have to download it every time entering the game and it takes endless of time. Don't know if it's because the internet environment in China but that really sucks!:vanilla:

Es un juego muy adictivo. Es entretenido jugarlo y lo recomiendo mucho.
Honestly, really really good game. Been waiting to have it for a while and got it and I really like it a lot... feel like they'd need to add more maps (Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Toronto,...) but you could get them off the modding community, just feel like they are not as good but oh well... Overall, great game, just wished we could do one thing, which is in Sandbox mode, change the demands so we can create our own...
yes
-Why does opening a map / safe take 50 minutes EVERY TIME? -The building experience of realistic networks is terrible. Its either everything underground or above street level where it should interfere with bridges but doesn't. -Entire buildings/complexes are missing. -No satellite view. -No mods on steam. -Framerate worse then Cities Skylines 2 -Why is there no trams/streetcars at ground level? (btw there are only a few cities where entire subway systems are viable) trams/streetcars at GROUND LEVEL have to be in this game or else 80% of all cities are UNPLAYABLE! -The way the builder works is unbelievably bad. Everything apart from placing everything underground is a bad experience. Why can't I drag/ move or adjust the height of the tracks the tracks in the build mode, after placing them? I really don't recommend this game in the current state!
