Hailed as the original FPS-RPG game that spawned countless imitators, Strife: Veteran Edition is a love letter to the classic from 1996.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Main quests, side quests, all you need in doom style shooter game.
Nice game suggested me from a friend. It has the engine of Doom back in the days, but what the developer crafted with quick text\dialogues and a multimedia support (voice, text) including the general design of the world (map) is definitely remarkable. It will require the player to apply to the game challenge\story, using memory (like remembering names or paths). Really nice is the voice overs here and there, the characters and the flow design is something any experienced player will recognize represent the state of the art of present day single player videogames, and despite this is an old game, Strife manages not only to put me and I believe any player in the shoes of the character but also is capable to naturally making us eager to look for more, and advance in the story, the player will feel eager to learn more about, a well thought story with indeed a nice pacing design. However consider you might have some hiccups here and there with excessive map re-pathing (walking again areas you arleady have been has always for me a great value, but at some point it is excessive as it becomes a labyrinth experience over and over)

Pretty fun Doom type RPG-lite. Weapons are cool and unique. The story and choices had me confused a bit cause I don't pay that much attention to stories in games, so I got the very bad ending. But the combat is fun and satisfying which ie all that matters to me.
If this game could come back from the dead, then nothing is impossible. The Crew, Driver SF and 007 Nightfire have no excuse! There should be a constitutional law only allowing Nightdive to do remakes. Just making the game able to run on modern systems with minimal changes, optional QoL features & original artstyle and voila; you gained easy trust & cashed in on nostalgia/curiosity without alienating your own audience.
Imagine if Strife had defined the future of FPS gaming, rather than Quake...
This game is neat as a time capsule, and has some novel concepts that likely inspired later great games, but the clunky gameplay (with autoaim it can be impossible to hit enemies and even with it off can be annoying to hit, too many hitscan enemies with not enough health means you're taking frustrating "health taxes" constantly) it doesn't match the fun or replay ability of games like doom or especially not quake, or the concepts and gameplay that would be used in Deus Ex. I'm glad I only paid $2 for this museum piece.
Not worth it because of the galactic difficulty spike at the end.
game is old (still worked like a charm), hard, unforgiving and brutal. Most guns are ass tho, maps are turok esque long mazes that sometimes requires you to look around to progess. I still enjoyed it and its a must play for boomer shooter lovers.
