Hailed as the original FPS-RPG game that spawned countless imitators, Strife: Veteran Edition is a love letter to the classic from 1996.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very fun game...the concept of an semi-rpg in the doom engine is pretty cool! A shame it never got a sequel or anything....but a good port of a neat game!

only worth playing for historical curiosity, technically inept and thoroughly mediocre

It's a little too clunky and confusing for me. I think some fun can be had if you go into it with a forgiving attitude and remove expectations that this is on the same level as other titan FPSs of its time. What it tried to do is interesting. If you want to see it, give it a try.
A game from 1996 that couldnt beat the competiton at the time (Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Quake, etc) And I can see why. Pros: - Kind of interesting story - Good characters artwork Cons: - Confusing maps - Depressing simple colour palette - unfunny battles against enemies - Too much wandering in base 3/10 game
Pretty fun Doom type RPG-lite. Weapons are cool and unique. The story and choices had me confused a bit cause I don't pay that much attention to stories in games, so I got the very bad ending. But the combat is fun and satisfying which ie all that matters to me.

Imagine if Strife had defined the future of FPS gaming, rather than Quake...
