a challenge, but not an unfair nor unfun one
I was really skeptical about this one for no other reason than I didn't love the art style. But not only is this a great sequel it's probably the best example of the genre since idk when. All the tech is here, so if you loved learning the sweet science of SoR 1-3 those skills definitely transfer and there's more to learn here. The art style really grew on me, I play as Blaze and I was pleased to see she is still herself. The two new characters didn't really do anything for me but I loved Adam returning and Estelle is a really cool new addition too. If I had one complaint it'd be that I wanted to try Arcade mode from the start rather than play through the chapters one by one just for the authentic SoR experience. If you've played the genesis games put this on Hard and you'll be just fine.
Luego de jugar por mas de 90hs dare mi opinion, viniendo de probar antes las 3 entregas para Sega Genesis este retorno de la saga de beat'em ups mas famosa de Sega (junto con golden axe), fue simplemente magnifico, una gran variedad de combos, un apartado artistico muy bello, y una banda sonora que viniendo de yuzo koshiro es simplemente una obra maestra (y no solo participo el, sino que muchos otros compositores como la mina esta que creo que compuso la banda sonora de street fighter 2, corrijanme si me equivoco), aunque si tuviera que decir algo en contra serian tan solo 2, la primera es que algunos logros son imposibles de obtener sin el DLC de Mr X Nightmare, cosa que si jode un poco, y el otro (aunque siendo mas una opinion personal mia), es que su final se siente un poco anticlimatico, ya que solo te muestran lo que paso despues en los creditos con unos dibujitos de acuarela. Pero quitando eso la verdad que es un juego que tenes jugar, tanto para fans como para no fans, esta entrega es de las mejores junto con su tan aclamada 2da entrega, recomendadisimo
A gorgeous sequel to the legendary series. All the familiar characters, new ones appear, but the plot and narrative itself have not changed, and the musical accompaniment is still great. Fans of the series are definitely in the collection, the rest should get acquainted.

Un excellent beat’em up, très agréable à jouer et facile à prendre en main. Les combats sont dynamiques, les animations sont magnifiques et les coups donnent vraiment une bonne sensation d’impact. Le jeu respecte très bien l’esprit des anciens Streets of Rage tout en proposant un gameplay plus moderne. Les différents personnages ont chacun leur propre style, ce qui donne envie de refaire les niveaux plusieurs fois pour apprendre de nouveaux combos. La musique, les graphismes et le gameplay fonctionnent parfaitement ensemble. C’est encore meilleur avec des amis, mais le jeu reste très amusant en solo. Je le recommande à tous les amateurs de jeux d’action.
