it is sad to watch as a dev ruins a decent game. early on this game was really rough, but by build 9045254 the game was very good lacking only a map. the dev says there is a map available in a video store but after 100+ hrs (off steam) i have yet to find the video store. so, if you can deal with the idiotic no map scenario here's what is GREAT about build 9045254: the enemies are challenging but not a constant threat (like rust, surroundead, deadpoly) the loot is very well balanced the building/crafting are great rocks are on the ground as rocks should be plenty of trees that you can cut, red flowers are fiber all resources are there if you look. you can grind and build anything you want pleasant game, just keep a watch out for enemies i rate this build a "9" out of "10" it would be a "10" if it had a map i have buillt several bases but i only build them close to an easy to see monument and never venture over a couple of blocks away or you will never find your base again. what's wrong with the current build? no map the dev recently added "wildings". they should be considered terminators. 2 hits and you are dead. takes lots of hits to kill one. they can spot you 1/4 mile away and will NEVER stop chasing you. ever. the wildlings alone have totally ruined the game. you spawn with nothing of course. but... there is a 99% chance you will not live long enough to even build an axe much less a useable weapon. loot is totally crazy. almost every entity in the game has loot, mostly useless loot. building/crafting resources are really hard to find if you live long enough to search. thousands of trees are on the map and haven't been able to cut even one yet. rocks are in dumpsters. yep, you read correctly. rocks are not on the ground, they are in dumpsters. in the earlier build there are mineable deposits scattered all around the map as they should be no such luck in the current build. i have seen zero mineable deposits in the current build. the game in it's current state is not at all fun. it is like having hemorrhoids. a total pain in the butt. you can't build anything because the wildlings kill you constantly and you can't find resources even if you live the question is, why would a dev do this to what was a decent game? i guess we'll never know. it's a dead game now because of the reasons listed above. it will REALLY vanish when surroundead incorporates full base building in the next few months. if you can get the build listed above grab it now. it's a good , solid low poly survival game. avoid this version like the covid. it's just as much fun as covid.

I'll be honest, I bought this game because the game setting is in a real modern city. It isn't GTA level of detail. But it is still good. I applaud the dev team for making a game set in a real modern city. Over 80% of the games out now are set in Medieval times (Orcs, dragons, swords, princesses etc). Most dev teams don't have the balls to make a modern city 3D game. Thank you dev team for adding another real life 3D city game to the scene. I am so f***ing sick of medieval games I feel like puking whenever I see a new on on Steam. And guess what, everyday theres at least a few more of these medieval games being released, im nauseous half the day. About this game: Its good so far, not to much content. But I am happy LeeJones Dev team is updating it. I hope they never stop updating this game. My one wish for the game, among many others is: This game need more AI (NPCs). There is the player, versus the enemy AI NPCs scattered all over the map. Then there is the trader AI. What the game lacks is other types of AI. It would be cool if there were AI in the game that attacked not only the player but the other types of AI (Factions, gangs). It would be awesome if they added NPCs that progressed like the player. Example: I am in the map leveling and playing, then I encounter an NPC who is trying to survive like me against the horde of AI found in the inner city. The difference here is these NPCs wont attack me on sight right away. And they have their own agendas. Summary: I love this game, but they need to add more types of NPCs (not just hostile NPCs) and vehicles. LeeJones Team: If you need any type of help with the game, or private funding please contact me. UPDATE NOV 2022: Still a very enjoyable game, I haven't played it much because I want to see more content. I really hope devs DO NOT abandon this project!
has potential for sure, looking forward to updates. i think the only thing i dont like is when you are looking for loot to survive and just keep finding different skins. never enjoyed stats tied to skins in games and even less so when they take the space of life saving loot.
太过于空洞,乏味。地图很大,但是什么都不能互动。而且跟另一款游戏完全一样,建模,场景,地图,画质,甚至ui都完全一样。
Very enjoyable game, ran into a few bugs but being in early access its to be expected. Below are some issues/suggestions I have. One of the bugs being when I got shot out of my car the car just kept going....I eventually found it in a ditch 5 blocks away but was unable to get back in the driver seat like the game was still registering someone sitting there. The lack of smaller trees is a bit frustrating, this could also be because of where i built my base but still a pain to find. Not sure what I need to chop bigger trees, I have what feels like most of the crafting stations and see nothing other than the metal axe. Not sure if I'm missing a crafting station but it would be cool if we could make nails. With it being a critical base building component it would be nice to have them be craftable or at least a bit easier to find. (I find myself only being able to build 1 or 2 platforms at a time because of the lack of nails and/or planks because of issue mentioned above), Another huge thing for me is the lack of any kind of wiki/guide. I've been searching for a trader since day 1 and have yet to find one. I have no idea where to look or what the building they are in looks like. I have so much gold burning a hole in my pocket lol. I'm also curious about what this "City Center" is the cauldron description mentions. (I thought maybe it was almost like a town hall type setup where maybe a trader was) but found nothing but a 100000 story tower. I also recently found a news van, was really happy about that until i hit a tiny bump in the road and rolled it unable to get it back on its wheels after i was pushing it around for a bit and it just became static and wouldn't move anymore, I had to leave it there as a monument to my failure. Maybe a way to roll vehicles back on their wheels would be swell... Finally it would be cool to see maybe the ability to see friends on the mini map/tablet map or even set way points. My friend and I have noticed its very easy to get turned around and completely lose your way especially with the lack of big POI's. We have resorted to living close to the outskirts of the main city to try and make it easier to find base. Overall its enjoyable with frustrations here and there. Can't wait to see what changes/updates are in the works.
i played this game for about 20 mins and got depression from how empty and bland the game is nothing changes everything is the same youll look 5000000 houses with the same layout as the last one aint worth it chief
Really enjoying the building mechanics, gathering, and survival system of the game. The storms/environmental effects are awesome, the thunderstorms really rock! Great beta run and thank you for the dev communication in the community hub, good to know the Stolen City team is listening to the player base.
Overall this game has potential, It's got a few hours play in it but very limited content at the moment. The concept is good and the engine running it is fine, just needs a lot more content and filling out. As with all these Steam early access games - it depends on the Developer to finish the product though and lets face it, not many steam early access games get finished so every single one is a risk anyway really. Nobody gets any money back if the developer stops making the game so 50% of them are just cash grabs on steam and everybody knows it. Sad but true.
So I've been playing the game for 20 hours now (in the past 4 days). There's a lot in the game and a lot of similarities with other games like Deadpoly. For those who says that it's an exact copy, you're half right. Both game are based on a Polygon Game Developpent Assets that can be reuse and build on top. Stolen City is based with survival without zombies but with mobs that range to Homeless to Military guards. What I like :

Crafting system is different than other game if the same type,
Gameplay is new and don't rely on A.I Zombies (which frankly I have too many games of that type),
Map is fairly large and loot is common,
Night time if dark... but &*/?%$ Dark,
The uses of potions is a great idea
Vitals system works well (Energy, food, water, etc),
And what I like the most, the LEVEL system. You can indeed level up and get better perks!!! Love that!
Now, What I think needs improvement :

The crafting system. Yes I like it, but it doesn't make sense that you can't craft at least a bandage.
It's so damn rough when you begin. I almost gave up because the homeless man slap me to dead in 2 seconds. Maybe turn it down a bit.
Guns are.. weird, i the sense of the range. Why the sniper have almost the same range as the assault rifle and make almost the same damage? Even with critical?
Chest lock picking. I once spend 25 lockpicks on one chest and couldn't open it.
The military base puzzle to get to the crates. It's painful. And the rewards are so basic... Like a wig? Really?
A tutorial would be appreciated, I spend a lot of time hitting a tree and a rock that couldn't be broken.
YOU CAN'T PICKUP OR RECYCLE. If you make a mistake with your home, to bad, you need to destroy it and let's be honest, the cost of materials is high. Also, you can't place object on a grid so it's all not straight but it's my OCD trait.
What can be added is : Maybe Shelves, a grid system, less insane mob, more loot in certain area or defense weapons. For single players, maybe add an option to choose the difficulty or PVE environnement. - Fix the range or weapons and damage and view angle. Sometimes I just aim throught my body and get kill because I couldn't see - Please, let us crouch and lean left and right with proper aiming. - We need to be able to repair our gear. - Maybe have the option to buy ammo, or be cheaper to make metal sheet or ammunition Overall, I recommend the game, the price however is pretty steep for the stage of the game. But I like the concept, it has no zombies. I mean if I could merge Deadpoly and Stolen City to have both zombies and Mob at the same time, that would be cool, but ehh! I can't wait for more update. In the mean time, I would try to find a way into the crate zone in the military base...... :( ^^ #### EDIT as 2022-06-06 #### I found how to get the crates.. AND finally find the Grenade Launcher.. But we can't repair it?
game is ok but need crouching 100 percent they say to ask questions and leave ideas in the discord but they still ignore all the comets about crouching. but other than that its cool
