I have my eyes on this game from the beginning. I've tried the demo many times, and now I tried this Early Access Version. As usual, the art is charming. I love about the art and the animation. The prologue part is good, where it interlaces between the game play action, the boss battle, and the narrative aspect. I'm excited to explore more about the narrative in the story, I expect in this early access version, we got to peek a little bit more about the mystery surrounding Stella's Dad. But it seems it's not included yet in this version. In this EA version, they included also the town where Stella could react with its surrounding, it seems promising even if it's not fully fleshed out yet. I'll wait for the full version of this game! :D Good luck for the dev!
I've already fell in love with the combat mechanics, because you can do something like launch combos into air slash attacks into special move attack XD for a 2D hack and slash game, this game looks very promising and I can't wait for the full release and more updates in the future kudos for the animator that made the intro looks like an anime opening <3

A game that is interesting in terms of story, built with engaging action-packed fights and easy controls to defeat multiple enemies. This is a 2D hack-and-slash game that I haven't played in a long time. The main character, Stella, is also presented very well.
The Good: The gameplay feels solid. You can pull off some cool combos based on your character’s abilities, which gives a nice layer of depth. But if that’s too much, just mashing the attack button and dodging every now and then still works fine — so it’s fun either way. The art style really stands out. It’s all hand-drawn, which is super refreshing in a time where so many games lean into AI or generic digital styles. The Bad: The story is decent, but beating a boss doesn’t feel satisfying. There’s not much buildup — you just sort of get there without a challenge. Hopefully that changes in the final version. There are a few bugs here and there (to be expected in early access). One issue I ran into is the game freezing when using the LB attack combo, which forces a full restart. Seems like a bug in the way the combo or animation loads. Also, the music gets repetitive pretty fast. It’s not bad, just the same loop over and over. Hoping there’ll be more variety in the full release. The Ugly: Some levels clearly aren’t finished — missing assets, placeholder sprites, that sort of thing. t might be better if the devs lock those areas for now. Let players focus on what’s polished and working, like the core mechanics, instead of walking into broken or half-made content. It kinda breaks the experience. Overall: The game looks great and definitely has a lot of potential. Really hoping the devs take it further and make the most of what’s already a strong foundation.
it's pretty good
Reviewing this game to praise the quality of the art. It looks like it is all hand-drawn so i can only imagine the crazy amount of work for the art team to develop this so hats off to them! Combat is decent, it is fun to mix up the normal combos with (what i consider) weapons such as the pistol. My only gripe is there are moments where I feel like i am button mashing where i prefer fights to be more technical, maybe add more combat tech to prevent this but then, this is my personal view and the game is in early access so I, or should I say we, the players should cut them some slack. Also at the time I am writing this review, the game is terribly underrated so I wish this game to take off somehow!
transports players to a steampunk Roman Empire in a 2D hack-and-slash colosseum arena, blending a unique aesthetic with challenging gameplay. It offers a compelling mix of action and story, appealing to fans of fast-paced combat and deep lore. Pros: - Striking Steampunk Setting: The Roman Empire with a steampunk twist is a refreshing and visually captivating backdrop, filled with intricate details and charm. - Engaging Combat: Fluid hack-and-slash mechanics and combo systems make every battle thrilling, especially in the high-stakes colosseum. - Story-Driven Motivation: The quest to uncover your father’s darkest secret adds emotional depth and intrigue, making victories feel meaningful. Cons: - Steep Difficulty Curve: The game’s high difficulty may deter casual players, requiring precision and skill to progress.
If you can maintain the quality of the first area throughout the game in the final game, this will be a pretty amazing game! I enjoyed the first part a lot, despite the translation needing a bit of a clean up. Combat was pretty exciting, though spongy until you get used to combos. But overall a steal on sale. But I hope the final game will have a bit more story and a smoother transition after the first stage. Going from excellent and linear to seemingly random? Seemed under construction? Anyway, wish the devs luck and hoping they can slowly realize their dream!
Been keeping an eye on this game for who knows how long. Totally fell in love with the art style and visual concept. The Early Access build gives you around 45–60 minutes of content (you can explore longer if you feel like it). Visually, it’s already looking super solid; the character designs, the world, even the UI, all of it looks seriously great. Maybe the town still has quite a few placeholders, but hey, it’s Early Access, y’know? The core mechanics and features already give a clear idea of where the devs are going with this. The music’s nice too, though I’d suggest adding a few more SFX to make things feel crispier and more satisfying, like picking up coins or after beating a boss (some parts still feel a bit flat in that sense). Speaking of boss fights, they’re okay for now, but still lacking that extra [oomph]. Maybe add something to make the win more rewarding, like a flashy finisher move when the boss is low HP, some kind of instant-kill sequence. Just something to make it satisfying and memorable. But overall? Good stuff. Bugs? Yeah, a few: - Jumping sometimes makes you stick to the edge of platforms. - If Stella’s standing too close to the edge after a fight, the cutscene dialogues might get clipped or go off-screen. - One time I used the ult on Bloody Belly, and... the head was just gone. I checked several times and yep, head’s missing. 💀 One more note on the town area: when interacting with NPCs like shops or the dojo, I feel like the dialogue after exiting the UI isn’t really necessary. I smashed every button trying to skip it just to exit faster, lol. And the dialogue box is tiny, like, I didn’t even realize Bladr was talking at first because I barely noticed the text. Thought the game froze or something. Everything else about the NPCs is great, really. Literally just that little dialogue thing could use some polishing. There’s definitely more I could say, but I think most reviews here have covered the pros and cons already. Keep going, devs! The foundation’s strong already, just keep refining it, and this’ll turn into something amazing. You’re cookin’ real good, just add more spice, chef. 🔥👨🍳
After having just beat the tutorial, and had a stroll around the town. From what little I've seen so far there are absolutely the bones of something extremely fun here. A lot of different ways to upgrade or challenge oneself in the fights. Not to mention the absolutely beautiful art style. It's a brawler that really let's you feel like a badass once you get a good rhythm going.
