About

An entire universe awaits you in Stars Reach. In this science-fantasy MMORPG, you'll visit strange, new worlds, become an explorer, and build a life on planets that react to everything you do. Your choices will change your world. And, you'll do it with every other player on a single server. Leave your mark on the galaxy!
Each world responds to your actions. A deep, reactive simulation allows water to flow naturally, forests to burn, and lava to harden into new materials and land masses. From lush forests to winding rivers to perilous mountains, every planet has its own ecosystems, resources, and challenges. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you, how wildlife reacts, and ultimately which settlements prosper.
Planets are living systems. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you. Climate changes, creatures migrate, disasters strike, and the world reacts in ways you can’t fully control.
Travel through wormholes to discover new worlds, explore, build, survive, and thrive. Every planet begins untouched. What it becomes is up to you.
Master one of dozens of skill paths, and live the galactic life you’ve always dreamed. Whether you want to protect settlers as a ranger, build a trade empire, or offer your services as an architect, Stars Reach offers many skill paths that allow you to chart a course through space that fits your play style. There are different weapons to master. There’s a career path just for you in Stars Reach.
You’re not locked into any single playstyle. Experiment with different skill paths and find the combination that suits you best. Build your own class from different skill sets and define your role in the galaxy.
Your first steps onto a new world take you far beyond the familiar. You’ll need to adapt to your surroundings by learning to survive. Every skill path has accompanying equipment, which you’ll gain proficiency with by using those tools.
More importantly, your contributions to the community will increase your proficiency. A camp you build will earn you experience when others rest at it. Community means survival, and we’ve built Stars Reach to support pro-social behavior and limit the ability for other players to ruin your experience through griefing.
You can build a cozy cottage on a remote hill, and carve out a living by yourself. But if you crave community, team up to build settlements and cities, shape how they grow, and decide how they are governed.
Team up and claim a large plot of land that isn’t just a home base. You and your friends can cluster your homesteads, build a community, and govern together.
The resources you gather can be sold in a unified galactic economy driven by players. Or, you can use them to craft tools and technology to supply distant worlds with vital goods necessary for their survival.
Trade with players across the galaxy, specialize in what you make, and become a master of your craft and earn renown across the galaxy.
Your choices determine what comes next.
Cities grow or decline, ecosystems shift, wildlife becomes extinct, and resources are used up or recover based on what you do. Protect the environment and its inhabitants, or strip mine it for profit. Other players live with the results of what you leave behind.
This is Stars Reach! What will you become?

Reminds me of star wars galaxies fun ! I like the planned map ahead.
I see no reason to play this game gets so mundane really quick. Basically have 4 missions that you walk to and half the time when your shooting you dont hit the target. No fun at all.
I backed this game on kickstarter and have been following its progress. It has improved in every iteration that I have played. The combat keeps getting tighter, the world more fleshed out and better looking. The gameplay simulations underneath are fun to experiment with and its got a lot of potential. Its still early access and recently left prealpha, so some hiccups and development woes are going to happen and should be expected. They respond pretty quickly to righting major issues and it really does have a beautiful community in game if youve been looking for that. Again its early access and is still adding primary features to the game. Its coming. If your concerned about that, check back later and see how its going! I play a lot of space games, especially star citizen. If you see stuff about servers lagging and haven being bad, they addressed that very quickly and from what I saw, playing in the weeeee hours of the morning it seemed to be under control.

Well... It's a game. I can see some of the systems under the surface and they're cool. I like what they're doing. The... Interface, UI/UX all need attention. Like... I don't see the non-hardcore non-SWG-nostalgia-types jumping into this given the current avatar/interface feel. I can't think of a single _real_ MMO that's launched in... AGES that has been able to run on subscriptions alone. So, I dunno how that model is gonna hold up. I think I like the systems under the hood. The skin-suit it's wearing right now needs to fit better. If you've got pre NGU SWG nostalgia you _might_ find something you like here. If you need modern interfaces and little-to-no jank you should wait or pass altogether.
This is a good game, with potential to be a great game. It is still in Alpha state, and as such has a lot of bugs, lag, and missing features. That being said, the core gameplay mechanics and engine show strong promise for future builds. The community is welcoming, the devs are cool and responsive, and the gameplay loop is just genuinely enjoyable. It is easy to see what this game will one day become, and I am excited for it. Would I recommend paying $30 for this game in it's current state? Only if you play tested the pre-release, know what you are getting into, and want to continue supporting the developers. If you are eyeballing this as a first experience, check back in a few months when more content and fixes have been released.
This game is shaping up to be one of the best games I've played. I've watched it grow from its very early beginnings with just a few choices to a fun and intricately detailed sandbox MMORPG where you can explore, farm, mine, harvest, craft, sell, design, build, and terraform entire worlds with your friends. It is still in Alpha, so tons of things are still WIP, but just what is already available in game is impressive. The crafting system is incredibly detailed and customizeable. I love that it has a player run economy. The skill-based advancement system and the fact that skills are advanced by using them is refreshing. This game is just what I've been looking for in so many ways.
In its current state it is far from ready, I backed it on kickstarter as it had potential, it still has potential but it's not really in a playable state, not enough for charging $30, not even $10, I wish I could refund my kickstarter because despite the potential the amount of time it has been in development vs the current state makes the odds of it reaching that potential look unlikely, I hate to negative review but it is what it is
So far so good, can enter directly into the servers. Horrible lag, but somehow it's not so bad. Group XP while farming resources is enough for an upvote for me.
It's definitely an alpha, with the kinks and bugs that go with it, but between those bugs the gameplay is fun and the potential is huge!
I have been enjoying the EA, yes it Alpha, it's so developers can get more feedback from players. And they have pretty much come out with a patch everyday. Yes it's lagging in the tutorial area, but that is expected when 40 t0 50+ players are on in the same place, as well as the space station. But once you are set free you can do what you want. I am eager to see how it progress over the next weeks and month.
