Captain your own space ship and roam the galaxy in 3D in this tactical space simulator with tons of RPG depth ! Space has never looked so inviting - but images can betray...It has been two years since the end of the second Gemini war, the situation in the wartorn system is further from resolution than ever.

This is not Freelancer. This is tediuos and boring.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Essentially a nice space simulation game with a few flaws and bugs. The ship designs are nice, the ship classes are a lot closer to each other than I thought, although winning in a gunship becomes really hard later on. Weaponization leaves some room for customization, but is rather simple. I like the turret system and that you basically start to fight differently as you start to use larger ships, from dogfighting to maneuvering the ship to distribute the usage of turret energy and shield damage better. The class system is nice to have, but ultimately doesn't add a lot of variation in how to approach combat. Boarding is way too important and almost neccessary to keep up financially as you easily level up quick. Enemy levels attune to yours so especially in early game, you wan to get out of the smallest vessel size as fast as possible. The story lacks, as does their presentation and the English dub. The game should be more enjoyed as an open world (or star system, rather) experience. Exploration is fun, but don't expect huge surprises. The weirdest part is the reputation system. I like that there is one, but a lot of missions really don't fit in when you're supposed to be allied with a faction that you should attack. Sound mixing needs a big improvement as the volumes of sound sources are messed up at times and appear way louder than they should (disregarding the fact that sound in space doesn't really work, but that's generally a game design decision I am okay with). Graphics are good for the year the game was released in, but the scaling of planets as you approach them is really weird. Ultimately, I have a lot of fun with it and can recommend it to anyone looking for some streamlined space action not as complicated to get into than for example the X Series. The free DLC of a basically remastered Starpoint Gemini 1 is a nice bonus. Just don't expect a masterpiece.
In a world, where large-ship-flying freelancery simulators are extraordinarily rare, this one is... Okay. Its nothing special, but its playable and fun... If a little autistic. At the beginning you really have to be careful and focus on capturing ships to sell, otherwise you will make waay too little money and lvl up too fast, so you will end with very weak ship in a system full of very dangerous enemies and break your game.

It's a fun game. What do you want? Get out of here.
