Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 22 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

About half way though the game, it would reboot my PC, seemingly at random, only consistent part I found was that it was done during autopilot travel, it could be after 20 minutes of play or 2 hours the game it self is okey, the story is fine, lot of work in writing a few lines for a lot of planets, the gameplay is ok, the combat never really clicked for me, but you can let the auto part do a good bit of it, and the weapon choice is an illusion, as for the sound, I turned it off after a few minutes and just listen so some podcast or audio books instead.
Was not sure this game was going to be as fun as it has. Not bad for $15 USD (sale purchase). Would recommend if you enjoy exploring and only getting destroyed every once in a while :) It's a little repetitive, but overall I'd give it a 8/10.

Starcom is the faithful and impressive successor to Star Control 2 that gaming waited decades for. Then they made a bigger, better sequel to Starcom!
Okay game, if the Missions tab had properly labeled/listed where to go or what to do more often it wouldn't be such a cluster F when you get towards the end portions of the game when you are trying to 100% things. I'm still quite a ways away from finding enough tech to see three types of weapons systems and even half the shieldling but it feels like there isn't anymore to do. Except very cryptic "Mission" logs of whatever is left. Which isn't much. Wouldn't recommend, not even on sale. Bummer for sure.
AFK crypto miner w/ AI slop assets. GPU up to 100% in the damn pause menu.
Boring as f. Extremely slow even after boosting engines. after 2h of playing i didn't find any other station than starter - so every time i need to upgrade research or add few piece of ship components i need to fly 10 minute or more to just click few upgrade - WTF? There is barely anything in space.
Just endless glitchy garbage. Crashes every three minutes, often right in the middle of combat.
this game is fantastic. lots of exploration and fun shipbuilding. combat feels good. desingers clearly understand the vastness of space. great on steam deck.
my go to game
