A Old School JRPG Feel from the PS2 Era. Way more fun than expected despite some flaws here or there. Here's my full video review below - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa7U-Z6XicQ
I have mix feelings about this game because on one side I had a good time playing this game, not wanting to put it down except for taking breaks and life happening. On the other side, this game had potential that I feel like it didn't quite get there and wasn't as polished towards the last third of the game. The story is very JRPG within a setting that I would have loved to explore more on but is serviceable as a self-contained game. The pacing felt... weird, to me, especially in the beginning and definitely towards the end. Personally, I felt that maybe the flow of the story would have been better if there was 10-20 more hours of story to go through to help it feel fleshed out. The characters and combat is what heavily carried the game for me. There were very few, not even a handful, of characters that I did not enjoy when they showed up. From designs, to their quirks, and to the voice acting, I loved it all. That is why I am a bit disappointed we don't get a lot of time with certain side characters and certain party members that show up kinda late into the game. The combat, oh the combat! I'll be honest, the combat is what the kids say, "slaps." The combat in the game is turn-based that flows so well and is very similar to how Octopath Traveler series with the break system and a different "boost" style that affects how a character's skill functions. I will say, however, having played the game entirely on normal difficulty that the game isn't very difficult at all and the boss fights that should feel epic were lackluster. I only died a handful of times due to mistakes I made or due to RNG in a fight. Customization of the party with skill trees or the mechs with equipment plus engines and cores is where the game is very hit and miss. The skill tree for characters is a hit and I like that it isn't just a stat boost but where you can augment skills to have them cost less, deal more damage / recover more hp, or add certain elements to a skill to help hit an enemy's weakness to break their guard. I really liked it. However, the very BIG OL' MISS is with the equipment and the engines and cores system. First off, unless I missed something but the game does a 3-star rating system that felt entirely unnecessary as I would find 1-stars that would sometimes be stronger than the 3-star stuff. With both equipment and engines being the biggest source of stat boosts for the mech, I was disappointed with the lack of variety of gear you find (mostly going for the one with the biggest ATK/HP/DEF) or how small of a pool of engines there are to find with better stats or more slots to equip cores. I feel like the game could have benefited from being able to upgrade/craft equipment or craft engines to make sets and help with mech customization. I actually like the core system with their perks and being able to craft them but they are also behind a massive resource grind or money grind if you want to purchase the resources. The graphics and music in the game are good and not much I really have to say. I like the aesthetics they were going for and the music was pleasant to listen to. Will say, the lip movements in cutscenes looked awkward. Now, would I recommend this game? Hell yes... but wait for a sale. To me, personally, I got my enjoyment out of the money spent on the game; however, if there were to be no updates, bugfixes, etc, I would advise waiting until the game is around a $25-$30 sale.

Don't get this game Full price! This feel like a mobile game, the game play, the control, the character design, the map design, the bgm is so generic and the texture, all feel like a mobile game. And the bug, japanese voice line order mix up, quest trigger need to follow exact order to be able to accept and complete even you got the quest item first, even the quest question mark show up, you need to go through some main event to be able to accept the quest, you need to walk to the map that got the quest item after accepted the quest to make the quest complete trigger to be show up. I will continue to play the game, I pay for it, is already pass 2 hours because I like to do all the side quest first on every games and the story is ok so far can keep me in the game.
I guess one word I'd use to describe this game is "simple" and don't even mean that in a bad way tbh. Sometimes it's nice to sit back and have a completely uncomplicated and unfrustrating experience. The story isn't anything spectacular but it's fun and there are moments where they have some pretty interesting worldbuilding going on. The characters aren't particularly complex either but they're enjoyable enough to spend a few hours with and they have some decent chemistry with eachother (as well as the voice acting being pretty good). None of the gameplay mechanics are very complex but I had fun with all the standard turn-based stuff. The visuals are all very basic too like a kind of "budget Borderlands" as well but there weren't really any moments where I thought anything looked particularly bad. Some of the mech designs and enemies are all very cool as well. Overall, it's just been quite a chilled out game for me. The vibes and atmosphere are nice and I've enjoyed following the colourful cast of characters on their mech adventure as simple as it's all been so far. The game probably could have done with being a bit cheaper considering the simplicity but it's definitely not a purchase I've regretted which I can't say the same about a lot of other games I've played recently.
Solid classic style turn based jrpg. There are some bugs and bumps along the way, but it's a fun ride.
12 hours in and so far it's pretty good. Made by a new developer at least ive never heard of them before they have created a wonderful rpg world filled with mechs. Battles takes place in your typical turn based rpg formula you have a time bar at the top of the screen which ditermines turn order. you can manipulate that by using whats called a drivers high. Think of it like a limit break for an extra turn. So really not too much new here but thats ok. sometimes sticking with the same old is a good thing. You play as lukida a salvager who is in debt up to her knees. Your goal? Is to get off the planet by any means. In the mean time you work for fennec who basically like your average day cruella de vil. you go around doing a bunch of side quest which is your typical kill this or go fetch that. (no find the cat missions here but you get to feed one! ) dungeons so far have been pretty samy looking with so average puzzles tos olve as you make your way through them. Voice acting in english is really not all that bad in fact i'd say it's pretty good but if thats not your cup of tea then japenese voices is an option to. Most of the game is voice acted but you will still have to read ( i know the horror ) The compsoer did a bang up job especially when it comes to the different battle themes. Each one has been a banger so far.
As of right now (26/05/25) Thats YY/MM/DD btw. The JP dub is a buggy mess where the story voicelines are quite often misplaced. There are also other minor gameplay bugs here and there but nothing gamebreaking. Game is standard JRPG business complete with party roles and unbalanced characters so you won't really be doing much customization of any kind. If you want those "freedom of mech customizing thing" you do in other mecha games like AC6 or something, this isn't the game for you. As for difficulty, I can't remember if there was a difficulty option. But if there was one, I played it on normal. And its a cakewalk. One character has party wide heal of at least 50% and party wide dmg reduction of 70% for two turns. How to die? Game is decent enough though.
Recomendo!
