Great game, just finished it. Vader straight up aura farmed in the end there. GM difficulty does feel pretty challenging and super fun
I played this on Jedi Knight and Master difficulty. This is probably one of the worst soulslikes I have ever played. Throughout this entire experience I felt like a quality tester. This game is not finished, not even close. Visuals are nice, soundtrack is good. But the actual game part of the game? The physics? The combat? The enemy behavior? Jank, all the way through. Could've been amazing. The physics are not reliable at all. The way enemies tend to launch and ragdoll when being concentrated on one spot has stopped me from pulling off finishers. When I climb and reach a ledge that's populated by stormtroopers, you better pray that you won't be launched halfway across the map when trying to climb up on the ledge. The combat was alright at the beginning, but it got increasingly more frustrating with large groups of enemies ganging up on me, which made using the skills a hit or miss kinda deal. The power dynamic between the protagonist and bosses is also rarely even. Bosses seem to have poise out the wazoo, while any small scratch stops you right in your tracks when trying to perform combat skills. The enemy behavior is an entirely different beast. For whatever reason, the devs decided to restrict enemies to specific spaces, so anytime you get chased you can just enter the next or last room and watch them fight an invisible wall. The "aggro meter" also seems to be made with not that much fluidity or plausibility in mind. Enemies lose interest in you when coming across a doorway, or you can lead them away to a specific distance and they'll go neutral and retreat with leasurely stroll, showing you their back, even if you just stood an arms length next to them. Zero immersion. Easy to cheese. Worst of all, in my opinion, was the fact that many of the fights, especially those against bounty hunters and the endboss, were not "challengingly difficult", but rather "frustratingly difficult". If you are looking for a tight and responsive game that honors your time investment, even if it's just 20 hours, I'd stay away from this. This is not it. Also: Whose bright idea was it, to give an enemy in possession of your life force a urine-yellow shader, that covers the red shader indicating non-blockable attacks? Should've been noticed on Day 1 of implementation and then scrapped. And WHY can I not have a heavy attack based on stamina?? Why does it have to be a force-based attack??
* SPOLER WARNING * SCREW YOU TRILLA. I LOVE YOU VADER FOR KILLING THAT DOG AWFUL CHARACTER. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOSSFIGHT THAT ONLY SWITCHES UP AT THE END OF THE FIGHT! ♥♥♥♥ TRILLA. Vader for life. and Cal too I guess.... Game is pretty fun, combat, mechanics and story wise. It's all fun and games until the Trilla boss fight at the end of the game. Then it returns to being fun. 8/10
Really enjoyed this game. The combat is fun, the character movement feels smooth, and the graphics are beautiful. Definitely worth playing!
Really fun game. The combat clicks, the Metroidvania-style ability gating works, and it nails the Star Wars feel without forcing it. Everything about how it fits into the wider Star Wars world felt like it was done by people who actually care about the lore. My main gripe: figuring out where I was in the game. There aren’t clear chapters, and with all the planet-hopping and backtracking, I kept losing track of how far along I actually was. The maps are cool, but they don’t always help you find the main path. Also ran into some technical stuff: lighting popping in and out, LODs and geometry loading in late, and lighting messing up in spots. Shame, because the game looks great otherwise. Still, had a blast with it. Loved the combat and the world, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Não dava nada pelo jogo, mas me conquistou. Muito bom, e história muito legal também.
