* Controls are weird, can only see them when you press ESC and that leaves out the buttons for the grenades (which are listed on the grenade itself, to be fair). * Hard to hit 1-4 to fire lasers while using WASD, so you'll have to do arrow keys + 1-4 or use joy2key to map buttons to a controller (remember to map the arrow keys directly, do NOT map WASD instead, it won't work).

Exploring the randomly generated planets and ships is pretty fun. There is a lot of depth and an infinite amount of area to explore. I like the idea of the game, where you have robot assistants doing the fighting, while you run around "collecting samples" ie looting. .

Dialogue is rather poor and world setting did not grip me or hook me at all. Loved the concept and bought DLC on top of the bundle key in hope this would shape up to something. What I got was simply in-dialogue FTL-style combat for ships, which means no graphical representation or combat menu. Just... tell your crew stuff and have them tell you the effects. Beaming down in a planet has you kiting a secondary character around that does all the fighting for you. It is possible to make progress if you turtle forward and game the artificial intelligence of the game, which I assume is the only way to really progress. It was not very compelling. The maps had some vague appeal to them but had nothing interactable in them, they were very zoomed out leaving you detached from everything
