Spirit of Midnight: Prologue

可愛さに惹かれて遊んでみました。 ゲーム本編の冒頭部分が遊べる内容。 シンプルな描写ながらも表情豊かでよく動く動物キャラ達が可愛かったです。 歩き回ってポイントクリックして、入手したアイテムを必要な時に使ったり組み合わせて使ったりして進行します。 アイテム使用は必要なシーンでのみ要求され、間違ったアイテム選択のペナルティは無し。 言語は英語オンリー。 試しに外部のUnity翻訳ツールあててみましたが、システム部分が翻訳されるのみで会話テキストは英語のまま。 そんなにムズカシイ言葉は言ってないし何となく分かるので、英語の勉強するつもりでゆるく遊ぶと良いかも。 全体的に平和な雰囲気でゆるーく進み、BGMからも静かで神秘的な夜っぽい癒し感を感じられました。 クモさんは結構エグイ発言してますが、それを聞いたキャラの反応がコミカルで可愛いのでサラッと流せるレベル。多分。 本編リリース楽しみ！という事で本編の方をウィッシュリスト登録しました。 分かれてるっぽいので、多分こっちは本編リリース後もお試し版として遊べるのかなと思います。 かわいいな、気になるな、と思ったならとりあえず遊んでみて損はしないかなと。

5/10 An adventure game with cute animals. Good: - the gfx, though rather simple, look adorable. If you are a cat person like me, this is a treat - humorous story - music fits the game well and builds the mood - I like how the game works fine without any voice-overs, but the funny sound effects replace the speech sounds of animals So-so: - as in many point-and-click adventure games, you essentially just walk around 2D scenes, pick up objects, combine some of these objects into other objects, and then use objects in some places to progress the story. It's rather basic gameplay, and here it's even simpler because there is no "use" command Bad: - no mouse support. Instead, this game is designed for controllers. Keyboard controls are kinda tolerable but still take much of the fun out. Actually, these adventure games are far more suited for the mouse rather than for arrow keys. It would be far easier to just drag items around or click on a spot to order the character to move there, rather than fiddle with clumsy keys. I'm not sure if the devs will want to essentially re-work the entire control scheme for the mouse. Anyways, if not this, I'd give the game a 7/10. But as it is, it's only a 5/10. - when scrolling between items in the inventory, it seems the game checks if the key is down, not for key presses. So, often you "overshoot" and scroll 2 or 3 slots by pressing once. This problem would never happen if the UI was mouse-based Overall, it's a nice game if you're going to play it with a controller. But if you don't have one or don't want to use one, it's rather a pass. Still giving an upvote since there is no "neutral" vote allowed. Fantastic game so far with a lot of potential to become something amazing.

the prologue is super cute! i love the art style and the characters are both funny and interesting. the puzzles aren't anything crazy, but they are entertaining and i had to think a bit for some of them. this prologue is beautiful and i can't wait to see what else the devs come up with. i will just say that i wish the controls were a little more intuitive, or i could keybind. i didn't like q for what felt like should be escape, enter for what should be space/click, etc, but nothing game changing. i also would have liked the option to turn down the game volume, although the music was nice and thematic. definitely play this prologue! it's free and shouldn't take over half an hour, but i already fell in love with this creative little world.

Cute! Fun and engaging puzzles. Lovable, quirky characters. Steam Deck compatible. Loved every second of the prologue and will absolutely be getting the full game.
