About
SPELLCAST is a fusion of card battlers and word games. Construct your deck with runes and bonuses, then play words on a grid to use them in battle. The power of your spells changes based on the words and letters you play, making each turn a delicate balance of wizardry and wordplay.
Grow more powerful by optimizing your runes and bonuses, collecting artifacts, and upgrading your tiles. Runes also have multiple upgrades that can enhance or greatly change their effects, for a wide variety of deckbuilding possibilities.
Battle your way through 10 unique scenarios, or play the campaign for a more traditional roguelite experience. Increase the difficulty of either mode by tackling higher Danger Levels!

Really good game, i enjoyed it <3
This game is very cool, reminiscent of Slay the Spire except you fight by playing Scrabble. I find that I have a surprisingly hard time predicting the future state of the scrabble board & which tiles will be (relatively) accessible to me, yet the game gives enough options that this doesn't typically feel oppressive unless I've also messed up the more deck-buildy aspects. Very fresh take on word games and on roguelike deckbuilders, though--if you like word games, I'd definitely recommend this, even if you're like me and don't tend to enjoy the more traditional roguelike deckbuilder genre.
Scrabble infused with elements that make playing to the board varied and interesting.

Good
It seems like it could be a lot of fun, although you seem to need a rules lawyer to keep track of all the ways different things can interact. It seems like either the player is weaker or the enemies are stronger than they should be. I've mostly been playing the first few scenarios; after many attempts, I completed the 1st and 3rd. I've come close on the second one many times, but died at the boss. The Wytchkin or whatever they are really need to die in a fire. The fourth level has ****ed me off enough to abandon the game in progress several times. Between the hexes that weaken your attacks and the smug giggling, I want to stab something in the eye. I'm a pretty decent Scrabble and Quiddler player, with a large vocabulary, so I expected to enjoy this. Thus far, expectations have not quite been met.
