Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

Very fun game, unique enough between missions to keep things interesting. Spooky monsters, fun to play, completed 100% of all the things. Species rooms are cool, all the players have been nice. I really look forward to updates!
Que de talent gâché pour rien !!! Graphiquement y a rien a dire ! Berk !

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Top game worth every penny hours of fun. great time killer with friends
This game deserves a lot of attention! The Art Design: is beautiful and Dark. There is a lot of love and passion that can be seen in the armor, the weapons, the map and the monsters. The sound is cinematic and makes you feel the pressure in the right moments. The lighting and shadows really add to the feel of being on an abandoned space rig - damaged and on low power. It makes you look a little bit harder and move a little slower as you walk down an unfamiliar corridor. Honestly, it is on of the best I have seen in space horror genre. The Gameplay is Immersive: My movement feels weighty, but not clunky. The guns feel powerful - giving you a sense of safety and confidence (although, depending on the species, the confidence may be a bit false). Interacting with doors, ammo caches, health stations, etc. have animations that make you execute each action - adding to the feel that you are really there doing this mission. And there are so many more smaller details that can be seen to keep the narrative that you are here - and you are in danger. The Game is Polished: Even when I played the demo in the early days of this game's release, and now being 8 hours in running solo strictly, I have yet to notice a single glitch/bug. No strange clippings, no frustrating invisible colliders, no dysfunctional interactables. I have had no stability issues or framerate drops. I feel like these things should be standard and go without saying, but as we all know, that is just not how the gaming industry is in 2026. So where does this game need to improve? It's simple: Variety Need more Maps: At this time, there is only a single playable map. I will note that the gameplay loop provides variability though modifiers in the contracts, but, still - a hand full of new maps would add a lot more replay value to this game. Need more Unknown Species: Right now the is about 6 or 7. Doubling this number would be major for the experience and variability. Need more Main Contract objectives: Although there are modifiers to each contract, there is only about 4 mission types at this time. The good news is that the Devs seem to be aware of these things, and efforts have already been made to add more variety. Conclusion: For $10, this is a steal and you will not be disappointed if you enjoy these kinds of games. I am excited to see how far they take this.
Game so good, not even crack can beat it :3
TLDR: There isn't a TON of content out for it right now, but what's there is great. Highly recommend, especially for the price and especially with friends. A lot of love when into this game and it really, REALLY shows.
Really fun, lots to do, good gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately the vents are really annoying if there is a species that can go in them.
Das ist gut
