Space Slurpies

I am new to VR and this is one of my first games. Super easy to get started. The colors and textures were amazing. The game was challenging and had enough competitive elements to keep me super engaged. I had seen reviews and podcasts claiming how calming and chill the experience is. I was not let down, a great game to play during some down time. On the podcast interview the developers seem really cool. They did a great job with this game. The interaction was super smooth. The maps are extensive. I will be back in soon to check out the ones I didn't get to. I could just keep hanging out with the slurps, but had to go to work. You won't be disappointed. Even the soundtrack was enjoyable and fresh. Follow Up, new maps and skins in the latest dlc is awesome! A great game that keeps getting better.

Slurp, Grow, Win - Space Slurpies Space Slurpies is a fun addictive single or multiplayer game. You control a snake with your hand movements and must eat, grow and stay alive to win. The end of your hand is a snake, that you can freely move around in a VR world. The control mechanics are super easy and lots of fun. You just move your hand around to gather food and grow, while avoiding enemies, objects, other players and yourself. The person alive at the end with the longest snake wins. You will be using room scaling to move around the levels, so you will need some space to play. The play style is just amazing and feels perfect in a VR world. You will be quickly immersed into the game and have the time of your life gathering food and avoiding running into things. I was moving, ducking and flying my hand every where. It feels great to be so interactive inside a game. There are plenty of levels to play on and unlock. You also get to customize your snake to your liking. The game is a ton of fun in single player or multiplayer. In multiplayer it supports cross play, so you can play with your friends no matter which copy they buy. The game has an old school arcade feel to it, mixed with an amazing VR world and control. This game is hours of fun, specially with friends. You will be laughing and having the time of your life, slurping up food to grow and win. If you are looking for a fun relaxing single player or multiplayer party game, this is it. With the games simple controls, everyone can play it and enjoy it. This is a great game to show off VR to your friends. Get your hand warmed up and get ready to slurp. The game is decent now, but I feel like with some changes it could be really good. The Good: -The Controls on the snake feel really responsive and are basically perfect -The game comes with a lot of different maps -The "Baddies" you face change in behavior a bit per map making the game more re-playable -Snakes are cute -Devs supported a charity stream -Cheap -Mostly runs well(see below) Could Be Worked On: -Specific maps seem to lag badly(could be just my computer idk) -You don't get many choices with the customization -The Ai pretty much ignores you and likes to stay at the top of the map where I can't even reach, So most of the time to win you are just waiting for the AI snakes to knock themselves out -Certain things in the game seem to still make noise even when I have fully muted the in game volume -I wish some maps would play around a bit more with the game, As the actual interactable part is always just a blank area,(Maybe have walls or something idk) -I wish there were more options so that there would be more replay-ability(Player count, AI difficulty, Food Frequency, etc etc)

One of my favorite casual games in VR. Super easy to show people and it's extremely cool with the environments, challenging and cool. No ignore the negative reviews, these people are dull and just want multiplayer. It's not COD, you didn't play tetris with people at first.

Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. Space Slurpies is a casual VR game similar to classic Snake but with motion controls. It is fine for an hour or two, but that is it. Gameplay is intuitive, but it's missing most of the tension that classic Snake had, because you can completely stop your movement at any moment and bots are playing 100% passively. But it is still fun to chase AI enemies around for a while, cutting them off TRON style. There is not much difference in terms of gameplay between levels other than increasing AI movement speed: there are some additional obstacles, but they pose barely any threat. I beat everything in about 1.5 hours and have no intentions of playing the game again. Online Multiplayer is obviously dead at this moment. Visuals are pretty bad even by Quest standards, although some of the levels have pretty good looking and big skyboxes. Music is cool, including original main theme, but sound effects are annoying - constant slurping sounds get old very quickly.
