Soul's Remnant

I genuinely enjoyed Soul’s Remnant. It became one of those games I could play after a long day to turn my brain off and destress, and prior to this experience I would have had very positive things to say about it. Unfortunately, what others have said in their reviews about false banning with no clarification is true. My account was permanently banned, but the only explanation I received was that I had violated the game’s broad “Play Fair” rules. Those rules cover everything from bots/macros and modified clients to AFK circumvention, exploits, and RMT, but I was never told which rule I supposedly violated. I appealed because, to my knowledge, I hadn’t done any of those things. I was told multiple moderators had reviewed the ban and found it justified, but when I asked what I had actually done, I received essentially the same generic response and was eventually warned that further support tickets could result in my access to support being restricted. In Discord, staff explained that they cannot provide specifics because it could compromise anti-cheat security. I understand not revealing detection methods, logs, or technical details. What I don’t understand is why a player can’t even be told the general category of the violation. There’s a big difference between saying “you were banned for automated input” and explaining exactly how that automation was detected. I just wish the moderation team offered a basic level of transparency, safeguards against false positives, and were willing to have a dialogue with their players.

It's ok if you just wanna turn your brain off for a few hours but you'll be doing basically the same thing at hour 40 that you were doing at hour 4, the game doesn't really change. Might check it out again once it's fully released.

Honestly, this game feels like a dictatorship. They can ban you whenever they want, without even telling you why. Try contacting them on Discord? You get kicked. Contact them through the website? You get a copy-paste reply that explains nothing. If you start playing, just pray you never get an unjustified ban, because once it happens, don’t expect any help or explanation.
